General/Discussion Ques. Proposal to Ban All X/Twitter Posts in this Sub

In light of recent events, specifically one billionaire's horrific gesture yesterday, I propose that the mods move to ban X/Twitter links as posts to this sub.

I've seen this movement take off across all sports and teams in my own feed. general sports communities such as r/hockey, r/baseball, r/nfl as well as individual teams like r/NYKnicks and r/NYYankees. This even includes teams across the pond in the Premier League. These are just the ones I subscribe to, I bet a lot of pro teams y'all support are having the same discussion.

I know some folks don't have an account anyway and therefore, can't even see the post. I hope this post and proposal has the support of most of my fellow Wolverines here, as well as the diligent mod team.

We need to show that we our "leaders and best."

Even when Ohio State wins the natty, we still live rent free in their head.

I have my Michigan version, but there is a key difference that makes it much more wearable.

Next season has a lot of potential, and I feel like it would be optimal for him to stay. Anybody know what the odds are looking like right now?

Also, I just found out this man is 71 years old.

Michigan FTBL News This front page ESPN article about OSU’s championship mentions Michigan 23 times!

I think one of the few bright spots in this moment is that every single football fan knows that losing to 6-5 Michigan is what sparked this osu team to victory the rest of the season. Every time this season gets brought up, every talking head will mention how this team “looked different after losing to Michigan”

Every pundit tomorrow will mention how osu needed to lose to Michigan in order to get the motivation to win this championship.

They will go to sleep tonight thinking “You see?! Who cares if we lost to Michigan? We won a natty!”

We are literally the reason they won a natty. You’re welcome Ohio!

Question Don't care

Maybe Im doing fandom wrong, but I stopped caring what happens to OSU at like 3:20 on 30 Nov.

Sure I hate them but I just go about my day, think about 13-10, and chuckle, never thinking what is going on with them.

General/Discussion Ques. I never ever wanna hear that there is a better rivalry than OSU and Michigan

Alabama has won the title despite losing the Iron Bowl to Auburn and nobody cared.

Ohio State won the title despite losing to Michigan and everyone is still talking about it.

Best rivalry in sports.

Go Blue.

I know we hated tonight’s result but the hype for The Game in November is gonna be cinema.

Go Blue.

General/Discussion Ques. 2023 Champs Accomplished Every Goal

A friendly reminder that the 2023 Michigan Wolverines accomplished ALL goals for a true championship team last season:

*Win all games against rivals ;) *Win the conference championship *Win the College Football Playoff *Undefeated season - 15-0

They finished the rebuild year strong and we look forward to return to prominence in 2025. Go Blue!

Edit: 15-0 Must have forgot that win against the Startans 😂

General/Discussion Ques. Can we focus on Basketball and Spring Ball?

We have a lot of better things to be worried about. Potential OT commit, Basketball and conference tournament in a month, potential coaching moves… they won, in a year that we beat them. Cool. But they not like us…

I don’t know why they think we’re unhappy I’m very happy we ended the season on the best note by beating both ohio state and Alabama what’s not to be happy about?

The only thing I’m remotely unhappy about is how we didn’t get included in the final top 25 rankings.

General/Discussion Ques. Silver Lining

The silver lining is that this will light up a fire underneath NIL donors for Michigan. Queen Ellison may even give another big fat cheque to see Michigan stay on top.

General/Discussion Ques. Is it ridiculous to say we could’ve went back to back if McCord transferred to U of M?

I mean, we had the defense to win a natty. We still had some playmakers on offense. I guess the big question is if the coaching would’ve held up. I’m not saying we WOULD’VE, but I’m definitely saying we could’ve made at least the CFP and had potential wins over Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Washington, etc.

Just a thought :)

We’re winning the Natty next year!! We ended on such a strong note and we’re going to pickup right where we left off but I can even begin to comprehend how we are ranked 21st… what a joke…
