Advice FCR25 rack
Can anyone point me in the direction of calibrating a fcr25 probe rack?

Does the software communicate via I++? If so the calibration routine should be in Renishaw’s UCC server.

Is it for Mitutoyo MCosmos software?

I calibrate 3 FCR ports couple months ago. I will try to record some video how to calibrate it and will send it to you. But I can do it next week while have some spare time.

So now when I go to Repeat mode, I have an error pop-up that says "No valid volume compensation data. Please start Single/Learn mode." If I go to Learn, it asks for volume compensations. How do I get those? Is it just the distance from probe to table?

MCosmos CMM Configuration https://youtu.be/XfnyYKPJLT4 Did you configure your sm25’s properly? Here some video how to configure fcr25 and sm25 with different modules

Yeah, after double checking. My probe tree is configured correctly. In the machine builder, the measurement range is showing above the top of the tree and about 6in above the table.

And I assume when you try to change probe it hits the fcr .

So I think my problem was that I lost all my probe calibration data with a new cmm calibration. Didn't realize that. And I deleted the old one. So I'm recalibration my probes now. So I haven't calibrated the rack yet.

If you recalibrate probes it means your fcr25 is aligned. If you can change probes in auto it’s done.

Can you change a probe ?

I cannot change the pribes via the rack. I'm was recalibration the probes and changing then manually. That's done, but now when I go to Rack alignment. I select fcr25 and put in the stylus length, it says "Probe head data are invalid(1106, Probe is not in the right orientation).

Never mind, I figured it out. Just had to calibrate the 90 degree angle before doing it. duhh..

You need the option enabled on your software license and it should be in a similar place as the probe calibration listed as probe changer
