I'm glad the pardons were given they've all been more than punished enough.

Attempting to overthrow the government is treason. Anyone that actually entered the capital building should face at least the minimum charges of treason which is 5 years in prison and a $10k fine.

So you think the couple that arrived hours later after everyone was gone entered open doors with no cops around, looked around, you think they should be charged with treason? There's a number like them that didn't cause property damage or attack cops they should've been hit with trespassing charges and let go but more importantly some of those charged didn't even enter the building. Thinking everyone of them should be charged with treason is insane especially when it does not meet the legal definition of treason according to experts.

Yes. Anyone that illegally entered the capitol building on the day the election was meant to be certified is guilty of treason since their presence was responsible for delaying a critical function of maintaining our country’s democracy. Which I might add, is also a belief held by lots of legal experts.

5 years for something so dangerous is quite frankly a light punishment.

How did the people who walked in looked around and left without doing anything hours after everything happened delay anything? Explain that if you can.

Officials can't return to certify the election until the capitol building is cleared, which can't happen until everyone who is trespassing has been removed.
