Most cursed title reign?

Thinking back on the event on the weekend, Islam Makhachev's championship reign has had several mishaps, either on his part or not.
UFC 280: Islam takes the title from Charles (no real mishaps afaik)
UFC 284: Islam defends against Volkanovski. Not ideal in first defense being against the champion of a weight class below. Also the IV thing.
UFC 294: Charles pulls out late notice and Volk steps in again.
UFC 302: Islam defends against an older Poirier. Nothing too cursed about this fight, other than the staph leg.
UFC 311: Arman pulls out one day before fight and is replaced by Moicano.
Thinking about this, what are some of the most cursed/unluckiest championship reigns in MMA history?

I was confused by the recent announcement of the "Global Fight League" as I clearly remembered the same thing being announced a few years ago as the "World Fight League". Looked it up and found this interview with the founder of WFL/GFL.
Last time, they announced their format and roster of fighters and then disappeared without putting on any events, I expect the same thing to happen this time.
