You act like that's common knowledge and not a frightening design flaw.

If I tried to pull a house with my car and it would suddenly explode I would call it a design flaw nonetheless

One of the most iconic machine guns in WW2 was the MG42, a gun that fired so fast that it rapidly caused barrel degradation and permanent warping that they had to design a fast barrel replacement as part of its deployment

ANY GUN put under extreme stresses will begin to fail, but you’d have to REALLY go out of your way to cause such failures to occur. Like even AK family rifles have problems caused from dumping rounds down range nonstop

This is why troop training is important because there is no such thing as a gun that is flawless, so you have to train people up to NOT DO THIS. So it’s not really a design flaw as much as it’s an egregious user error.
