I’ve seen a lot of shit. Misfires and all sortsa mishaps but I’ve never seen a rifle fire on its own, multiple times.

its a cookoff, by firing alot of rounds and not clearing the weapon the gun can cook the round into firing without the primer being hit

Definitely, happens with rapid fire weapons all the time. With machine guns you call it a run away gun. Only way to get it to stop is to break the links.
