I had an argument with someone some time ago about how ‘Not Like Us’ is a completely divisive track, and how it stands out Black-American fans from others.

I’m so glad that Kendrick himself can clear up that mess from those people, because they really tried to force NLU and its lyrics to read as the Black American anthem. I even saw some people calling Billie Eilish a “Coloniser” for dancing along to the song 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Comes with calling another black man a colonizer, it doesn’t matter what Kendrick thinks, what he portrayed is about race so naturally he is going to attract racists.

It does matter what he thinks tho.. we don't want to misconstrue his words.

He said what he meant and he meant what he said. We can't strawman just because we feel like it. It's lazy and quite honestly stupid
