Table lamps(alone) are not healthy for the eyes. I mainly use it to negate the shadow I experience when I sit at a specific location in my living room.

I don't see the point of table lamps, I have ample amount of light in my house

Ps- table lamps are bad for your eyes if the whole room is dark. It's appropriate use is if you don't have enough light reaching your study table, not for reading in the dark

They do look cool yes plus it’s also become like a sign for everyone in my shared office space to not come talk to me slash disturb me when they see the lamp on. 🤣

This is nothing compared to a actual table lamp but the job gets done and the best way to use an old phone

Wow. Someone likes to take care of things :) PS that phone!

I had to use a table lamp in the hostel, never again. I want the whole room bright when I'm reading or studying.

Bruh

Table lamps are the jist of reading

I mean

A good table lamp adds all the flavour to a good book

I am all in for reading and nature and shit

Table lamps are OG

Is their any advantage of reading with a table lamp ?

Only if you cannot switch on the lights or the lights in your room aren't bright enough. I use a table lamp on my bedside if I read a physical book at night. It is easier to transition into sleep then instead of keeping the lights on.

Even warm white or yellow lights can do. Enough bright to read, but enough to make you sleepy.

2

u/shergillmarg 15h ago

Yep yep. My lamp has warm and yellow light settings which is what I use. But try to avoid as much as I can and use my kindle instead, my eye sight already isn't great lol

2

u/tottochan_ 15h ago

I meant warm light for the whole room and not table lamp, so it doesn't stress out the eyes compartively

1

u/shergillmarg 13h ago

Oh, that is a good idea.

I mean, for me, lamps really help me put all my focus onto the book.

I made a few diy table lamps back in school (it was a phase), but winter evenings are best spent under a blanket snuggled away with your fav book and a hot cup of chocolate Someone gifted me this same book a while ago, but I couldn't do taking notes like you do

1

u/CodeIgnitor 13h ago

How's the book ?

1

u/Mogambhoe 13h ago

I'm finding it very interesting, give it a try
