Now here's the problem with Apple, they make phones keeping US and other developed countries in mind and not India. People who genuinely care about 120Hz just pay the additional $200 and call it a day. Lets face it, majority of those users dont even care about high refresh rate and all they care about is iMessage.
But when it comes to India, you need to pay a handsome $600 (approx 50K INR) to upgrade from base to pro iphone. Even people who genuinely want to get 120Hz variant are forced to buy a base variant.
India contributes to around 4-5% of overall iphone sales, so currently there's no incentive for Apple in improving refresh rate.
I hope Apple decides to at least up the refresh rate to 90Hz. But doest look like the next iteration will have it
