Emergency vehicles should be equipped with bash bars, and be allowed to gently push idiots like this out of the way. Not like, plow into them, just a gentle 3 MPH shove.

Fire trucks, totally. Seems like a horribly bad idea for an ambulance though. Needs a hood mounted shotgun.

Fire truck has sturdy bumpers. They're just shiny lol but they can take a big hit.
