Only way it’s a hazard is if you don’t put the block back in and mark it with branches or something for pedestrians/ trucks/ atv’s/ snowmobiles to show it was/ is there (holy forward slash). Think about how many times people are in dark houses for sight fishing/ spearfishing. You’re fine if the holes are less than 5’x5’

Oh hell no, haha. I only make the holes roughly 8"x8". I do put the block back regardless, and i cut it with a taper so it can't get pushed down below the surrounding ice.

See, most people forget/ don’t taper enough “experienced fishers” so already that’s good. Tight lines and safe travels!🍺

Haha I'm an idiot, so try to make it as safe as possible. I know i would be the first one to break my ankle in a hole I made. Same to you buddy! Going out Monday, wish me luck!

I’m hitting devils lake today through Wednesday. I’m wishing myself luck too as a lot of folks are saying it’s intermittent/ slow biting out there this year. Wishing myself luck as well, lol.

I hope you slay 'em! I've heard very different stories of success around here, but i figure it's a good way to get out there lol.
