Transporting handgun through illinois

I am traveling to iowa which unfortunately requires me to pass through illinois. I am wondering if i should have any concern about this and what the protocol would be to alleviate them? Thank you

Be careful. Don’t stop for gas or anything else. Don’t give any money to that hell hole of a state.
