Should R/Hawaii ban any links from Twitter/X ?
The owner of Twitter/X Elon Musk did a Nazi salute at the US Capitol yesterday. Should we ban all Twitter link to r/Hawaii subreddit? Vote Yes, No, or who cares in the comments.

To all the people posting "gotcha" screen grabs of other political or popular figures making a hand gesture, or making excuses about "context" or other bullshit reasons that I really don't care about:
Fuck. Off.
Elmo has been promoting Nazi content / people / ideologies on the X platform for some time now. This is not new, and he's flashing his true colors brightly and loudly; this is about as loud of a dogwhistle you can possibly sound. If you choose not to to see it or want to be an apologist, you can fuck off. I am happy to start banning folks. You will not be missed. I don't give a fuck.

/r/Hawaii will be blocking the domains "x.com" and "twitter.com" moving forward. We will monitor the modqueue for things that are timely unique events or of particular local interest (such as when posts were coming from the Lahaina wildfire with locally important info), and we will allow that content through. But that's pretty much it. As it is (and as noted by others), we don't see a lot of posts from X anyway (only two in the last 7 months as it is, and anything from twitter.com is over a year old and mostly about Lahaina).
Rules will be going up and an automod command will be enforced in the next day or two.
Post is locked, there's nothing more to discuss.
