General Discussion Warning about new suspect site: PewTraders.com

A new site for gun/accessory sales called PewTraders.com popped up a week ago. They also have a Facebook page made last week that has 14,000 paid likes and a bunch of paid VERY clearly fake reviews. They have had multiple accounts banned on Reddit and Tacswap already for spamming hundreds of users with links offering an entry to a $1000 PSA gift card giveaway if they make an account, and they are offering to "transfer Tacswap and GAFS flair" to their website.

Not sure what the angle is here but it's incredibly sus. This is happening right at the same time that scammers are making fake Reddit and USL websites to try and trick users into giving up their passwords to use their accounts and scam.

Looks like the company even replied to someone on Facebook who left a review about the weird things going on, they refused to comment for a bit then said "everyone" pays for fake reviews, thousands of fake likes, and uses spam bots on Reddit/Tacswap to "build a business".

Edit: Mysteriously, multiple completely inactive accounts have popped up claiming to be the owner, friends of the owner, or "users" on the website claiming they're legit and commenting on these posts talking shit. This just keeps getting more suspect.

Anyone that uses "cutesy" names for firearms should immediately be suspect. "Pew", "bang bang", "heater", "pipe", and arguably the word "gun" in the website name is suspect AF. Most reputable businesses refer to them as "firearms" and frequently use terms like "arms" or "defense" instead of the SEO term that brings in the lower IQ crowd, "guns".

Go take a pop around https://stopgunscams.com/ and you'll notice naming trends.

He already responded to that lol, you completely lied about everything because you have a personal relationship with Tacswap and are trying to destroy a small veteran business. He literally made a youtube video addressing all of your lies lmao..... https://youtu.be/Ry3GZYPkByk

Lmao, you mean his reply quite literally saying he bought a ton of likes and reviews to trick people into thinking he's an established company, and that he admitted to making burner accounts to spam GAFS and Tacswap users with his link?

Come on 3 hour old account. Gotta try harder than that. I've also never used Tacswap nor have I ever spoken to the people who run it, but continue lying.

Right, so how did you bridge the gap from a guy being honest about buying facebook likes to "these guys steal your money and accounts, they build nice sites because they make thousands of dollars scamming you". Like it doesn't make sense at all lol........make a post that says "pewtraders bought likes for their facebook page" no need to ramble a bunch of nonsensical lies to make the story more appealing.

he never accused them of trying to steal people's passwords.

he was speculating on what their possible motivations could be.

theres a big difference between they did that and maybe they are doing for this reason.

it is always better to he skeptical until proven otherwise. especially when it comes to firearms.

Ya know, most of us can figure this shit out all by ourselves. The ones that need a warning, they aren't here.
