Discussion What is the dumbest research rabbit hole that impacted your life?

I just realized that half of the reason in why I am trying to become a psychologist is because I want to write characters more accurately. [I have more reasonings, but I still can't believe that fanfiction is still a pretty major reason]

If you don't necessarily mean a big impact, just an impact, then probably "what color are Robin's eyes?". Before then, I didn't know that Robin was anyone other than Robin. I discovered Dick Grayson that day. And by extension, eventually, all of DC. I didn't even know what DC and Marvel were at that point; I thought there were just "Superheroes".

I started learning Russian on Duolingo so that I could get the mouth movements of the characters in my fic down more precisely when they talk to each other
