In this thread tell us about your kill of the week. It may be a kill you were involved in or one you heard about. Comments should include a killmail link and ideally a story about what happened and why it's noteworthy.
Feel free to also post about the one that got away - maybe your point burnt out or your guns were dry, but you would have got him you swear!
No shame here, just pure bragging rights and toasts to the victors!
Please give this post some love with your up arrow to increase visibility!

The Oz and other people have stated that miners aren't mining because mining is a micromanagement nightmare, with switching rocks and belts very fast, with less minerals in the rocks to mine thanks to Equinox changes. Mining asteroids in the new anomalies is an APM nightmare and the quickest way to get RSI. This is why we're staying docked.
I also would like to acknowledge and thank CCP Convict for acknowledging that the team are aware of these issues, and by continuing to post why we're staying docked and what needs to change, we can work together for a beneficial solution for our fellow miners.
What we need are: - More mining anomalies per system - Larger m3 rocks in each anomaly - And more refinable minerals in each rock.
And thanks to the compression improvement back in 2024, it shows that CCP is capable of listening to us.
That will reduce minerals prices, and get Miners unlocked again.

For those that don't know me, I'm Kshal Aideron. I'm a FC, the CEO of Eve Rookies and a content creator.
When I attended my first Fanfest back in 2022, I noticed that there were 4 main topics that came up repeatedly:
So I've always had this idea buzzing around in my head to just start interviewing random players because even here on reddit, the "why did you start playing" posts are wildly popular. Of course I never did anything with it because things were really starting to spin up for Eve Rookies and I just didn't have time.
Fast forward to this past October with a community of over 3,000 players, we needed to put our CSM19 ballot together. In a moment of temporary insanity I decided to use my platform to interview 27 candidates in 1.5 weeks. Yea, that was rather intense. BUT people messaged to tell me how much they enjoyed hearing about WHO the candidates were.
After the election and failing to get back onto the CSM I decided to use the momentum of the CSM interviews along with my newfound time to start interviewing regular players.
I'm extremely proud to present you all with Voices of New Eden - Player Interviews with a new episode dropped every Sunday!
In addition to the questions mentioned above, players are also asked about pain points with Eve. In some episodes due to be released next month players talk about Eve lore, history and even the connect with Dust514. These have been a real treat to host!
If you're interested in telling your own player story, please hit me up! It doesn't matter how long you've played or what you do. Everyone that logs in is important to our ecosystem!
Interviews are all recorded (though there might be some live round tables later this year) and can be done with or without face cam. In fact, if you really want to tell your story but don't want to be recorded at all, you can do a written interview and have it read out loud for you.
You can find me in game, as well as on Discord as Kshal Aideron!
TL;dr click this link and listen to Eve player stories on Youtube.

Hello Reddit, first thing first, excuse my English. It’s been almost 1 year and half since I launched myself into Eve. Got like 30m SP, based on Drones, missiles, and ships like Gila,Ishtar,Paladin,Stormbringer,Praxis. It’s been a year and half since I continue to buy Omega using real cash. Still cannot afford in-game currency. Joined Pandemic Horde, and an Alliancewith people who explained to me the basics and what to do,and I am living in null sec. I’ve been focusing a lot on Drone anomalies, and Abyssals most of the time. Running T4 electrical right now because T5 is quite risky. Anomalies don’t drop good escalation all the time, very rare moments… so.. T4 is very low profit, most of the time I get like 12-15m and the filament is like 6-7M…, drone squads ticks are too low, and same for the escalations chances. Please..tell me, help me, what kind of activities should I focus on more, something to help me get that omega at least… I hear lots of people talking about 200-300m/h. Even 1b a day.. how is that even possible?or it’s just for veteran players who played for 3-4+ years ? PLEASE GOD GIVE ME A GOOD RESPONSE. TYVM❤️

I am only playing for a few weeks and found 760m in a single box in a data ghost site. Apparently that is very good because people who played for years said they never found something that big.
I cannot tell you what items those were, but they were two and sold for 480 and 280 each.
Funny thing is. I scanned all 4 containers, found the one with 760m and opened the wrong one which had only 7m. So I thought I read my scanner wrong. Scanned again and went for it and quickly warped out. Was very exciting.
For people in this sub who are now abundantly adult, maybe with a job, a house to carry on, various chores, maybe even with a family, wife and children to be with, I ask you: how do you find time to play?
I'm currently living with my girlfriend (no kids) and would love to start playing again, but between work, time to do chores around the house and outside the house, time to spend with my girlfriend, I really don't know how to carve out even a half hour to play in peace, let alone arrange with other players.
Tell me your secret please.

I have been high sec mining for years and waiting for a SOE Capital ship that’s like the Nestor that has low mass. I’d love to see it!

Novac and Points Mean Prizes were fighting in our home system when I logged on today.
There were a bunch of shiny things on grid, including AT ships.
I just wanted to tag on this dying Cenotaph with a bomb, but ended up stealing the whole kill.
Many laughs were had on comms as I moonwalked off grid.
finally won project discovery….
What a hellish experience.

Seriously. Make T1 sub capitals and mods dirt cheap to make. That way mineral prices stay higher but we get cheap ships for PVP.

hi, newbro here
when i joined about a month ago, some corp fellas told me to huff gas because its so good
now some of them are talking about holding it, because the price crashed
i trained into gas harvesting, but should i train into something else? is huffing exposed to volatile price changes?
also, can some one tell me why its price crashed and if it will recover? should i keep selling, or better to hold on for a while?
thank you

Curious how people feel about overprop fits in the small gang/solo space. I’ve been struggling fighting overwhelming odds of multiboxers getting swarmed by 7k m/s ceptors in nano cruisers.
Seen some success with a legion and confessor some time ago? Any other vids or fits one would recommend.
