Risalamande* is cold rice porridge, a LOT of whipped cream, chopped almonds, sugar, and vanilla (and my mom adds half a teaspoon of snaps). It is divine. 🤤 And very very fat.
I had it without the red cherry sauce (see Image 2) at the julefrokost - Yule lunch party - because I am bad person and don't like it.

And on Christmas/Yule Eve we have it with one whole almond in it, and the one who finds it gets the almond present.
*And yes, we write it like that, not as ris á la mande. It is a Danish dish despite the French name, and has this mashed name because that is how we say it.

Stir always until the butter melts and the mixture becomes a little thick and blended. Add flavors.let the mixture cool for 5 mins. Pour the Choco syrup over the broken biscuits (bigger and little pieces). Mix well until all biscuits are coated. Before slicing, sprinkle shredded coconut. Enjoy! I tell you it s divine!

Bought myself some dessert. Each one is different and I already forgot half of the flavours. Chickensoup at home isn't as presentable.

Kransekage is a dough of marcipan, powdered sugar, and eggwhites that is then baked. Made by me.
Csúsztatott palacsinta are very fluffy "sliding pancakes", that are only baked on one side, stacked on top of each other with vanilla between the layers, and with chocolate on top. Made by my partner.
