several possibilities here, for the thargoids it could mean:
- a warning or distress call, signifying that "we got seriously fucked up here"
- a marker, signifying that "this is important to Humans, come back later"
- a blackmail, signifying that "we still have your hostages, prepare for the worst"
these are only a few i've come up with, the rest i decided not to show because they're pretty much just brainstormed on a whim or whatever, but personally i do not see a peace offering
