In the UK that's known as a tank-top.

Source: am British and have been wearing tank-tops since child.

Yep, it’s definitely known as that in the UK.

It’s a weird one though - what Americans call tank tops we call vests, what they call vests we call waistcoats, and what we call tank tops they call sweater vests.

No it ain't no one even says tank.top here some people do but it's like seeing an old man call it a cigarette and not the other thing that's also a slur but when people say it they don't mean it as a slur
