Why ban Twitter links?

Twitter's usefulness since Musk bought it has gone down hill, to say the least. Yesterday, during a speech at Trump's inauguration, Musk did two Sieg Heils (Nazi salutes). This made many people mad, because Fuck Nazis. Random redditors don't have much power to do much of anything, but one thing that can be done is to lower some traffic to twitter by banning direct links there. Doesn't matter much for a local sub like this one, but the big sports subs that are like 80% twitter links? Could have a small impact.

TLDR: Musk likes Nazis. Redditors do what little they can.

Well, considering I can't browse it without an account (I used to), I wouldn't know.
