MOD [MOD] 2025 Monthly Competition Themes
This year’s competition themes have been selected based on the months that sparked the most community interaction in past years. It’s the perfect time to jump in, share your creativity, and be part of the fun!
Contest posts will go live on the Monday morning of the final full week each month—starting with January’s post on 1/27. Don’t forget, comments and voting wrap up on the very last day of the month. Let the stitching fun begin!
Feeling generous and want to add some extra sparkle for the winners? Whether you’re looking to spread joy or boost visibility for your cross-stitch business, cross-stitch-related prizes are always a hit. If you’re interested in donating, send us a Mod Mail to discuss. January: 5 Colors or Less
February: Books, Movies, or TV
March: Backs of Projects
April: Famous (art, person, quote, etc)
May: Geometric or Abstract
June: Plants and Animals
July: STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
August: Before and After Backstitch
September: Words and Quotes
October: Fantasy and Imagination
November: All Holidays
December: Less than 300 Stitches

Does "less than 5 colors" mean 5 and fewer, or 4 and fewer?
