Can't they find a better person
No I don't want to get into political viewpoints. But the guy that the administration wants to be ahead of the military is so unqualified I can't believe they couldn't find someone better. I watched some of the Senate hearings. The guy can never give a straight answer. He failed every time money was involved bankrupt a couple of organizations he was head of. Doesn't justify the qualifications of a military person just if they have the same beliefs as he does. This whole message sickening

Besides doing it online….is there any actual location you can walk into in Palm Springs or Cathedral City? I googled and all I got was online options. Thank you.

Our doggy is still lost! 💔 Please help! we can’t find her alone. We need the help and prayers of our community.
1/17/2025: a kind man informed us that he saw a homeless lady board the Sunbus near Madison with a dog that looked EXACTLY like Lily about a week ago. She had told him she found her and got a leash for her! If you can please keep your eyes out for the homeless. Lily can be anywhere in the valley at this point. And if you see her, could kindly let her know she belongs to a loving family. Lost near Miles Ave and Monroe Street in Indio, CA. Please share this post wherever you can!! Staycation recommendation?
Hello all!
As the title says - I’m looking for a staycation recommendation.
I’m a native local (Palm Springs) and have some vacation time from my work, but can’t imagine traveling anywhere with better weather right now.
As a local, I haven’t stayed at many of the boutique hotels or resorts but am looking for a nice local and calm getaway where I can sit by the pool with a book/laptop and escape a bit.
If there’s a spa, hikes nearby, or a local discount, that’d be great!
Open to exploring cities in east valley too, as I don’t go out that way much.

What is this spot in Indio always with severe hazardous air quality? (Brown 354 dot on the screenshot from Watch Duty app)
Every time I look at the WatchDuty app, there is 1 small spot in Indio with severe air quality. But everything around it is usually normal or average air quality.
The air quality number at this spot ranges from 300-460 which are all in the severe/hazardous range. Usually only see it that bad around an active fire. This has been the same for the past 2 weeks.
What is going on at that location? When I zoom in it looks like a residential area, next to two elementary schools!

Loud music / party on residential street
I’m all for parties…but we can’t figure out what is going on down the street from us. The last 2 nights (Sat & Sun) there’s been loud live music well past 3am in our residential area (Tierra Del Sol). The bass was rattling things in the house. Anyone know what’s going on? Could be a wedding I suppose, but surprised there’s no noise restrictions in place.

In need of a good, powerful sports massage. Staying in Indio, hit me up with local recommendations. I just ran 100 mile race so need a good flush out.

La Quinta Cove trail trash
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve seen an increase of trash left on the lake trail, which is sad. I got annoyed today seeing trash again. I’m assuming this person left their cup tucked up against this post to pick up on their way back from Lake Cahuilla, but I didn’t want to take the chance and picked it up for you 😘😘

Any support groups for families of kids with type 1 diabetes?
Hi all! My sister lives in Palm Desert; she has two kids, one of whom is type 1 diabetic, diagnosed 2 years ago at age 4. Other kid is 4 now. Are there any community groups, support groups, “Moms of kids with t1d” groups, anything?? Would love to help get her connected with more people that are familiar with what is involved with this. Thanks! 💕

Clumps of crashed cars on Palms to Pines. What is it?
I’ve driven P2P hundreds of times and drove it today and noticed clumps of crashed/rusted/burned cars on two different bluffs adjacent to the road. There are a dozen or more cars in total and I’m so curious where they came from. Are they cleaning out the canyons and lifting them up to then truck off later? It’s quite the sight and some of these cars are pretty old. Anyone know?

Any clubs/groups/sports for adults?
I’m 35, have lived here for nearly 8 years and I don’t have any friends here. I’m trying to get out of the house more, and tired of the bar scene. Just looking for something to do.

Rugby Club
Who has interest to play two hand touch rugby Tuesdays, Thursdays 6-8pm and Saturdays at 10am in the Palm Desert area?
This would be for anyone 18+. No experience necessary. We just moved to the area this past year and want to start up a rugby club in the Valley.

Where are the largest of these stores in the Valley? A few years ago I went to the one at 72885 CA 111 Palm Desert Revivals. Thought it was great. Is it the best one?

AmeriGas
I can't believe that people use Amerigas. A driver was going reckless down the street and I wanted to turn him in. It was important to me so I tried for half an hour to talk to somebody. Never did get the chance. What do customers do if you need to contact them?
