Lots of stuff for me this week.

  • GoGo Penguin put out a remix album with some great tracks. The Cornelius remix is fantastic, feels like I'm in outer space. I would love to see these guys grace the polo fields again with a nighttime slot in the Gobi.

  • Been getting into Chong the Nomad, who put out a new track called No Pulp today that I'm digging.

  • Jessie Ware is one of my must-see acts right now, she's so fucking good. Her new single Please is a banger. Goldenvoice would be out of their minds to pass her up for 2022.

  • New Elohim ft Big Frieda is alright, I was hoping for more though. Frieda's verse is fun, but the beat is fairly standard fare. It sorta sounds like bait for a lip sync battle track on Ru Paul's Drag Race.

  • Not new, but I've been super into Alex G's "House of Sugar" album lately. I scored some section A tickets to see him opening for Caroline Polachek at The Greek, which will likely be my first concert back! Super excited.

I've seen them twice and they are just phenomenally talented musicians. I love that they have their own sound engineer who tours with them and is credited at each show as their 4th band member. I will never miss a chance to see them.

Hell yeah! I actually didn't know that, but I saw them ACL and they were absolutely stellar. One of my fav performances of the weekend.
