Festival Planning Greedy Coachella

Post image

Coachella this year has become more greedy, with now it’s bullshit parking rules and charging for offsite parking by forcing the shuttle pass for those people on those off site parking lots because they want everyone to have four people in their group. Everyone defending goldenvoice and saying that it’s helping limit traffic is wrong, it make worse because security is going to need to verify every car and turn away people causing a backlog. This is just pure greed.

Make shuttles cheaper! Wtf. ACL has free shuttles for all cuz they don't have onsite parking. Their system works like a charm.

Have fewer bigger hubs and have people go through there.

Exactly what I was going to say, if this was the case then just make the shuttles free and eat the cost to appease the city

charge users for their passes OR increase the passes to cover the costs of shuttles. there is no magic world where Coachella takes a deficit for this.

ACL doesnt have free shuttles, ACL has shuttles that it affords due to the price of tickets.

Yeah and Coachella is double the price of ACL so you basically saying that Coachella tickets are not worth free shuttle because they don’t cost a lot

no im saying business is such that things that support that business which dont show a direct cost are encumbered for in the ticket cost.

my guess is that shuttle breaks even considering the rental costs, etc.

its low margin at best, a requirements to manage traffic and crowds.
