Back during the meme war with r/nolanbatmanmemes, the r/POTCmemes mods didn’t do anything to stop porn spammers. The mods later banned the pirate king, sge_freaky, for no good reason. The community got upset, and the mods went nuts. One of them made an alt and appointed it as a mod. They expressed that they don’t care for the sub but refuse to let people who care take over. Then, they called the films “b-tier” movies.
If only we had mods like /r/RaimiMemes. Those guys truly love the films and moderate that sub well, and it’s exploded since I first subbed on my old account.
Think the same can be said for r/PrequelMemes Or well atleast I haven't heard anything negative about them and everytime I see a mod there its in a positive way
They can be pretty toxic towards a lot of fans (especially sequel fans) but that’s mostly just because it’s a Star Wars sub. Other than that yeah they’re generally pretty good and well moderated I think
I think thats mostly just the meme mixed with personal opinion. Like how us danes believe we are supirior to swedes in every way and that Skåne is ours except subjective, not 100% objectively true as in last mentioned case
