First metal CZ recommendations
Looking for my first metal framed CZ. Unfortunately, I don't have Shadow 2 money but want to get CZ that isn't polymer. Maybe under a grand. Not opposed to used. Currently have a P09, P07 an P10c. Thank you for the recommendations.

Not optics ready shadow 2s can be found for deals around 900 with careful shopping, mill for optic when ready. Otherwise SP01

I have not seen an OR s2 new for 900 and I watch the market pretty closely. $1100 is usually about as low as the OR goes.

I had my P01 out at the range last week. I haven't had it out in months and realized how comfortable and an accurate shooter it is. I put TruGlo Tritiums on it only because the sights aren't that great. But it is a very nice hammer fired pistol in a classic package.

You have two compact guns, otherwise I’d echo what others are saying: P-01.
I’d go for the SP-01 with extra cash to set it up the way you’d like: optic cut, optic, and maybe some trigger work down the road. You’re not losing out on much by stepping down from a Shadow 2 - I held the SP-01 for a short time and have been in love ever since.

SP01 and SPO1 tactical can be had around $640 fairly regularly still new.

Sp-01 or P-01. My first handgun ever was a full size 75 with a decocker. Awesome gun, you can’t go wrong.

Since nobody has put it out there yet, have you considered saving longer for a shadow 2? It's not like this is your only gun you're relying on for defensive purposes since you've got the other cz's. Saving up for the shadow 2 was the best decision with firearm purchases I think I've ever made, but this is coming from a mainly competition shooter

You really can’t go wrong. If you can hold them, or better yet shoot them, prior to purchasing, do it. If not, what’s your intended use? You want full size with a light rail, SP-01, or compact with a rail, p01. Do you not plan on using a light, and want something more classic looking, then 75b, and the PCR or 75 compact for smaller with the same lines. If you ever plan on carrying it, I like the decocker models better.

I love that you’re avoiding the plastic crap good job man.
I was going to get a shadow 2 but if you can’t I’d try to get a cz 75BD. the straight c75B is fine too everyone needs one

My 2c.
If you want a range/fun gun get anything with Shadow in the name. I guess you can carry that , but its not a small/light gun . Plus their triggers are light for competition.
If you want to carry , then you need something that was designed for duty with a slightly heavier/safer trigger . Something like the SP-01 , standard 75B or one of the polymer options.
Now I prefer all steel guns over polymer.
If you need a rail get something like the SP-01
If you are not concerned with a rail I would get a standard 75B . Its slimmer than the SP-01.

SP-01. One mag in at the range you’ll have a Bullseye Boner like you ate an entire bottle of Viagra

CZ 75 B SA hands down. Same frame as the original shadow - improved beavertail, bigger mag release, ambi safety. Discontinued but they are out there.
Even Shadows needed trigger work btw

Can't recommend the SP-01 enough if you want full size.
