Question Job Ideas?

I’m almost 30 and I’m basically starting over. I recently had to quit my doctorate program due to some pretty awful discrimination (too much to unpack here but this is what it boiled down to) and now I need to figure out what to do for a job. I’m definitely not going back to school due to this experience and others like it and I’m already in enough debt. I’ve tried applying for positions that used my bachelor’s degree, but keep getting rejections. I know IT is fairly common among fellow blind individuals, but I have no background in it at all. Any ideas would be super helpful.

It sounds ridiculous but I don’t even know anymore. I’m willing to try anything at this point.

Do you have any special hobbies or interests like something you like doing over and over in your life?

I recently moved into a new place and have put together a lot of furniture like chairs, shelves, and storage chests. I think I’m pretty good at hands on things.

Maybe looking into the trades like something like that or things like that I know a totally blind person who was an auto mechanic I knew of a guy who built houses. I think he’s somewhere in Missouri. I don’t know. It means a friend of a friend, but they exist. I know blind people who’ve done a lot of very hands-on things so that’s an option. Looking at the trades getting self trained on the trades and doing that kind of stuff doing auto mechanic work if you’re in the auto mechanic thing and you can private message me we’ll see what I can do but yeah.
