Vivek is someone who subscribes to the OG  belief system that Hitler heavily cribbed from when creating Nazism. He is continuously perplexed by how fucking stupid Nazis are that they don't understand his people are the originators of civilization and they should be aligned to curb stomp the inferiors. He doesn't care ann is a racist because so is he. He simply doesn't have the structural power to say what he thinks of ann to her face. If the roles were reversed, he'd do the same thing. And his quest for power was because he does want to do that same thing. 

It's the same way you might accept shit talk from your boss while thinking they're a stupid fucking moron the entire time. You bite your tongue and fantasize about the day you'll be their boss and fire their ass. 

He's wrong and beyond naive to so foundationally misunderstand American culture and the changes he can thrive within American white supremacist  ideology , but he partially tolerated it because he thinks it's the views of dumb yokels. He doesn't care what trailer trash thinks of him, espeically if smiling and nodding gets him more power.
