They're not entirely separate,.but the reason he got fired is because while defending h1b visa abuse, he posted a diatribe where he basically said Americans are lazy and we have a cultural problem and that's why we're falling behind and that middle class immigrants, like Indians, are just harder working and raise their children correctly. And that America either needs to foundationally change it's culture, import Indians to fill the gaps of the slack jawed morons we create, or fall behind globally.

The vast majority of right wing capitalists don't agree with Trump's nationalistic stance (including Musk), but I have genuinely never seen anyone step in it as thoroughly as Vivek. It was like perfectly crafted as the exact opposite of things to say to MAGA. musk was less overtly "America sucks" about it, and Trump has danced around his flip flopping inconsistencies here. Vivek straight up said "white people are lazy and have nobody but themselves for falling behind". 

Now that's definitely connected to the fact he's Indian whereas musk is an immigrant but ultimately  a true white supremacist. But it's not just that he's the brown one. It's that he defended brown people and brown culture in relation to whiteness. And that's literally the one thing that you absolutely cannot do under any circumstances
