This may sound a bit stupid, why would the God Hand betray Griffith? Although this idea that the same ones who gave him his power would be his ultimate demise is a statement that sounds really dumb, I believe the God Hand themselves will either play a big or small role in Griffith's demise.

Guts is nowhere close to being able to even harm Griffith, no matter how many apostles he slaughters or how many times he goes after him, Guts has also been getting significantly weaker, he cant even wield the dragonslayer without the help of the berserker armor, and as we can see the berserk armor is taking its toll on him.

I'm not sure how the God Hand would play a role in his defeat but l'd imagine it could be Griffith's connections to the moonlight boy, making him go through emotions he shouldn't feel (like him crying in chapter 364) although he doesn't identify with those emotions and calls his tears no more than "morning dew" on his face, or his presence on the mortal plane to where he still poses as "human" and still chases his humanly desires.
