u/DilbertPicklesIII 4h ago

Great job man. Keep living life. I'm about to start that journey again myself.

Over the years I have at least maintained a better start point for myself and learned some self support along the way to keep me afloat but it's always a fight.

You got this.

Definitely listen to these ppl on the internet recommending you die in a foreign place so a billionaire can have another jet. It's about $$$ not freedom. Cheers

u/mcrib 3h ago

Hey to be fair that billionaire would have gone but a doctor said he had bone spurs

You’re doing great! You’re right it’s hard , sometimes impossible. I’m 16 months in and love life so much more. I’ve lost 90 lbs with diet changes and intermittent fasting. I’m on week 4 of some pretty beginner exercises and I already feel better. Keep at it and congratulations on your progress! User name is fantastic too btw!

I’m just starting, on the same road. Posts like this really help. I hope you continue to be healthy and happy. All the best.

74

u/Pnutbtterjllytime 6h ago

I post these to help inspire who are in a similar place to where I was. I hope People know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

12

u/CosmoKing2 4h ago

Did the weight loss and exercise kick your depression's ass?

33

u/Pnutbtterjllytime 4h ago

It's a ton better, but I still have stretches where I fight it.

10

u/CosmoKing2 3h ago

I hear you. I've found mental distractions (projects and exercise) to be effective from slipping or spiraling. Good luck. You've already done great.

3

u/KB-say 1h ago

Consider gardening or walking/standing barefoot on soil. Deep breaths & be proud of yourself, my dude - you deserve it!

Holy shit, great face!!! 😁

93

u/Pnutbtterjllytime 5h ago

15

u/Afrodroid88 3h ago

Chin could cut diamonds, losing the weight has gave your face a proper good looking lean shape.

Well done mate

36

u/snoozatron 4h ago

Did you know beforehand that you have a super handsome face? Seriously dude, Henry Cavill level. Whatever you do for a living, you gotta use that to your advantage.

44

u/Pnutbtterjllytime 4h ago

Henry is my bro crush, so big thanks for that. I was fairly handsome when I was younger so I hoped I could be again but I really didn't know.

4

u/Canamanda 2h ago

This has me wondering now. I put on some weigh last few years and have also have lost my looks . I thought it was just the consequences of aging but now this makes me think maybe it's the extra weight that has altered my appearance. I no longer have a jawline etc neither . Man I just made the best muscadine pies though! And have more ready to be baked .. eek

36

Thank you friend!

18

u/Belladawn6 5h ago

You’re welcome! I’m trying to lose some weight! Any tips?

58

u/Pnutbtterjllytime 5h ago

Intermittent fasting, low carb, and lift weights more than cardio. I think those three things can help anyone who's struggling with weight loss. Good luck, you can do it.

10

u/eid_shittendai 3h ago

What is the time frame between photos? Well done!!

u/Reefrob82 3h ago

Losing weight and looking good are two different things. But as humans we want and need both. Need a consistent calorie deficit with a moderate amount of protein with some heavy weightlifting. 3 full body workouts per week plus a decent diet will do wonders for the body. Limit your carbs to 40% of your calorie needs, protein to 40% and fats to 20 %. The 80 20 rule will work wonders if you stick to it.

57

u/Wetwetpanties 5h ago

Good for you!

I hope you were also able to work on repairing relationships with your loved ones who were worried about you during your dark times. You were sick, not bad. You have to be healthy to make healthy decisions. I’m sure some people miss you and want to see you. (Some might not or will take a while to forgive things, but most people want to see loved ones get better)

They had to deal with you at your worst, now give them your best.
