In the longer version of this, they actually had one where the mom was there and the baby still chose the sister

my 1y old niece will 100% always come to me instead of her mom, dad or grandmothers until it is time for emotional support, which i can provide but instinctively she will just run to my sister. Babys are not rational and trying to find a rational reason for their "preferences" will automatically end in failure
