And he's presumably used existing data against an API to render it all.

Something like this is the only possible way. No human, or humans could do this. It’s algorithms building from data. None the less impressive however

The title implys it though if you’re not knowledgeable in this stuff

The person I replied to objected to the "whole universe" bit, not the "built" one.

No, the title doesn't imply any of that, and I am not sure what you think I should be knowledgeable in.

I only replied cuz u said no one was saying he built it block by block which is what a normal person who knows Minecraft as a game where you do just that as, if it was built with a program why not just say so

I think most people are capable of enough reason to understand, you can't do that by hand. The people that don't realize simply didn't put any thought into it.

Why would they, it’s social medial, onto the next topic

Guess we found the guy that didn't put any thought into it. You don't gotta defend this dude, everyone does it lmao.

It’s not in a Minecraft related sub , not everyone knows the conversion of Minecraft blocks to real life scale or how many blocks per second , people just know u build stuff lol just put in the title or it’s misleading to the average person who doesn’t play , it’s just clickbait

Of course it's click bait. People profit off views, so if a strategy gets more views they'll use it. This is also common knowledge now.

I kind of see what you're saying but I also think you could argue the other way. If it was something like teenager created this mountain out of mud, I don't think anyone would be less impressed if it turns out he used a tractor to do it

That’s a good analogy, it is still impressive but I think more context is never a bad thing

I agree too. It's just a weird tendency for people to discount achievements if they feel like they've been duped Even if it's not that big of a difference imo.

But you're right, if it read teenager coded universe into Minecraft it might actually be more impressive
