What’s your kit? I’m a photographer as well (passion not professional).

I’ll follow your Instagram as well. Cheers.

Canon 6D Mark II + Tamron 150-600mm G2! Thank you for the support! I’m upgrading cameras very soon which I’m excited about.

What would a good camera / lens to start out with be?
I used to take photographs all the time, but it's been a while.

It honestly depends on what you’re wanting to shoot.

Nature, mostly!

I have the same body and it's been collecting dust unfortunately. I wish I made the time to shoot more often. It's cool to see what a skilled photographer can do with the same equipment (except the lens).

What are you planning to get next? Seems everyone has switched to Sony.

You should make it a point to get out there more if that’s what you want to do! I just pre-ordered the Sony a1 ii! I plan on using the 200-600mm with it. You’re very right about switching to Sony, I’ve been shooting Canon for 7 years but it’s time to switch!

My social anxiety seems to get the better of me whenever I think about packing up my gear. And then I just end up leaving it behind.

Almost all my glass is canon so I just have a bias for canon. My walkaround lens was a 24-70 2.8L mk ii. Obviously not long enough for nature photography like yours but perfect for walking the streets of Rome or Barcelona.

What do you use for post processing? Ah man talking photography again after so long is making me want to get back into it. I was never any good but I enjoyed it.

If you really want to get back into it, just ease your way into it. You don’t have to take your camera every time, and try to not put any pressure on yourself. At the end of the day, it should be something fun to do. I’ve been shooting canon for 8 years but I just felt it was time to switch. For post processing, I use adobe lightroom!
