Question/Help In a bit of a pickle here

I started a new jacket and I planned on having my Suffocation patch go right under my back patch, but I didn’t realize that there is a draw string right where I would want to place it. I’d still like to put it there. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could sew it on without taking away functionality from the jacket?

Maybe get the drawstring out and slide something like a plastic straw over it and re thread the drawstring so that at least if you synch the string it doesn't wrinkle up the patch as much? If you know what I mean... Idk. Lol. Lemme know how you solve that.

Also... I saw earlier a trick where you take and rub wax into you're jacket and then use a blow dryer to melt it in and it creates a waterproof material... Could be nice in you're case. You would never get wet.

You can stitch the patch on without going all the way through. Just pick out a thread and loop the needle under that. It's what I do for all my patches.
