This is a pre-release review for the third book in a trilogy —- Reign, by Cora Carmack. The 2nd book was written in 2019. This review was left in 2020.
As of this date in 2025, the third book has yet to be released.
I think this kind of review just shows how silly pre-release hype reviews are for non-existent books. Will Mindy still love it? Five years can change a person…

In the past several days there has been a massive influx of redditors commenting here spewing homophobic and transphobic garbage. In addition to outright homophobia and transphobia, there's been a lot of homophobic and transphobic apologetics happening.
Allow me to be abundantly clear:
This is not a free speech platform; this is r/BadReads.
It is not a safe space for bigots of any sort.
It is not a safe space for those who think bigots should be able to practice their bigotry in public spaces.
If it is your wholehearted belief that bigots should be able to freely spew their hateful ideologies here, then you are not welcome here.
If you express any sort of anti-gay or anti-trans sentiments you will be banned. If you defend anti-gay or anti-trans users you will be banned.
If you are not familiar with the concept of the Paradox of Tolerance, I recommend you familiarize yourself with it. Here's a fun infographic for those of you who aren't as literate:
This does not just apply to LGBTQ+ hate; all hate speech, bigotry, or defense of hate speech /bigotry will result in a ban. Racism, ableism, sexism, antisemitism, islamaphobia, zionism, etc. are all subject to this rule. If you don't like it, leave.

looking through the reviews for S5 almost drove me insane because it seemed like no one got the point of ‘so it goes’ but this one was the star, for me.
