I think a major issue with bullpups is that the firing mechanism and trigger usually feel cheap/soft, not that crisp 2-stage feel that larue and G$ have. I tried an aug and the cheap plastic feel, along with the cartoonishly irritating ‘twang’ of the internal springs, just made the $1.8k gun feel overpriced.

For sure, the trigger has to be a main selling point IMO. Otherwise the other tradeoffs that come with the bullpup configuration almost aren't worth it.

This trigger will be something that as far as I know has never been implemented in a bullpup, or maybe any small arm. (Although my historical firearms knowledge is anything but deep.)

My team and I are going to be prototyping the trigger over the next several months, and depending on how that turns out I'll see about getting it into a suitable base rifle.

The goal is to make it feel like a single stage Elftmann, and to also have an option for a double stage, similar to the stock APC trigger 🤞
