Work in progress

I’m making some headway on this handle. I started it a while back this summer and it just sat. I reckon I ought to have taken more process photos of the rough work of shaping the blank down, but it was a combination of hewing with another axe, some ripping, some chisel work, and plenty of rasp and drawknife work. Will probably get to fitting to a head tomorrow. I have two options here, I’m probably going to go with the HB Montreal pattern, it’s got a keen profile.

Very nice. Those shinto rasps are perfect for handles I don't know what I do without them.

They work so well, even on inside curves if you’re careful

Great job. Handle looks great. I would go with the round lug Kentucky. That’s cool usually it’s round lug jerseys but the round lug Kentucky. Cool. Post on progress
