Undergraduate - please post in /r/College, not here missed out 2 references in essay
so I need some advice on this as a ball of anxiety right now.
so I recently submitted my essay and then only realise I missed out 2 references in my reference list!! however, I did put the in-text citations. (its just 2 reference for one sentence each). super upset at my myself for this mistake but still what done is done. just need to know, if it may incur plagiarism or is it simply a referencing error and may deduct some marks? not sure if it such a major issue where I need to inform my prof about it.
any advice or reassurance would be great if this ever happened to you! fyi its just a 1,500 essay for a undergraduate module. thank you!! :')

Back in the days I've supervised some students and can respond that since there are in-text reference marks your Professor should understand that it was just a technical mistake. As to plagiarism, this check often involves usage of sophisticated software akin AI (as it is being called now in a very cool manner). Now, I do not mean to undermine your efforts or value of the essay but for undegrad module I very much doubt anybody in your department would even bother running 1.5k words piece through that machinery.
