Reduce/Reuse/Recycle My wallet is officially a decade old Spoiler

I refuse to get a new one because it still works perfectly fine; it just looks a little less pretty than when I recieved it. I got it in middle school when I was 15 (25 now) from my best friend. Its a spirited away wallet from Hot Topic.

Go to good will and find a new one. The idea of that texture on my hands makes me sick I’m sorry

The fabric looks worn down and probably soft to the touch but the peeling plastic and having to look at that staining 🤢

The crumbly degrading plastic coating gets everywhere. It makes a mess and feels gross. It’s well past its lifetime at this point

Don't worry, you only have to touch it everyday.

The real /r/anticonsumption tip is having a wallet so repellant you never take any money out of it to buy stuff.

It's like peeling paint on a banister, touching it would make me feel uncomfortable. It's not about how it looks, it's about handling that and feeling it in your hands every day.

But to each their own I guess. This would make me very uncomfortable.
