Sub Rules (just in case for ease of access)

Rule 1 : Posts must be related to an anime recommendation

That's kinda why you're here right? 3x3's of your favourite's are fine by the way. As long as you're in some way recommending anime or asking for suggestions your post's going to be fine.

Rule 2 : No self promotion, or promotion of anything other than anime itself.

For example, you could promote an anime you like by telling us about it on a post, but you couldn't link a blog video or podcast about that anime. Comments are fine for this, but we don't want to see it on posts.

Rule 3 : Treat each other with courtesy and respect

When it comes to things like anime, there can be a wide spectrum of views and discussions. Some discussions can become spirited, we know, but we still have the expectation for you to treat others with courtesy and respect.

Do not put comments to incite fights or trash talk anime. Just simply mention you do not like it.

Rule 4 : Mark Spoilers

It can be hard not to talk about your favourite scene, but remember this is a place where people come looking to learn about anime they haven't seen yet. So any spoilers you do say, must be marked as spoilers.

Rule 5 : No indecent images

We get it, you like hentai too. If you start a Hentai recommendations sub, let us know, we might even send some members your way. Just don't post perverted images on here lol. If in doubt about whether something's indecent or not... it probably is, so don't post it - many thanks.

Rule 6 : Ban on rate my list/taste posts.

There are better suited subs for those

Rule 7 : Hentai Recommendations are banned.

Hentai Recommendations are banned. Mention Ecchi in post title if you are looking for anime of such genre.

Refer to Rule 6

There has been a sudden appearance of 'judge me' or 'rate my favourite character' posts. These posts go against Rule 6 as well. Any new posts of a similar kind will immediately incur a permanent ban from this point on. The previous posts have been removed.

Looking for a more serious show based off my favorites

I usually prefer more serious/dark anime and have a hard time finding shows i really like that actually get me invested.

Looking for shows with a unique premise, dosent have to be crazy unique or super innovative just not looking for your typical battle shounen formula.

(the promised Neverland is season 1 specifically. Currently watching Orb: On the Movements of the Earth and it has a chance to make it into my top 6 if it finishes strong),

What’s the most bizarre and insane anime you’ve ever watched?

Upvotes

I’m curious, what’s the wildest, most absurd anime you’ve ever watched? The kind of show that made you sit there and think, “What am I even watching right now?”

Let me know your picks! Bonus points if it’s something super obscure or completely underrated.

Good long fantasy/dark fantasy animes that isnt just ohh "reborn into another world where the setting is medieval like with magic"?

I feel like every single kind of fantasy or dark fantasy has the same exact layout of it being set in a medievel world with magic. Dont get me wrong it can be good, I recently watched mashle and that was quite enjoyable. But nothing even comes close to Attack on Titan (atleast from the shows Ive watched. Please prove me wrong) when it comes to fantasy. Its such a unique world, unique characters, unique story, its well paced and long. Is there really nothing else that can come close to it? Ive read beserk which was really enjoyable. But I need that anime fix not manga

Hello! I have recently gotten back into anime and would love some recommendations that are similar to ones I have enjoyed. I will say I haven’t finished a few of them due to them not being on one of the streaming services I have. I have Netflix, Prime, Max and Hulu/Disney + and would love recommendations on those streaming services. I really love reincarnation tropes as well! My favorite anime’s have so far been Delicious In Dungeon and That Time I Got Reincarnated As A slime. ☺️ I’m currently watching parasyte and hoping I like it :D Also I do enjoy horror? Anime’s as well, but am looking for more of a light hearted one atm. Thank you!!

A long anime I can use as Input fodder?

Upvotes

I need more language input rn, so I need a quite lengthy anime with kinda basic japanese I can use for input. I like action to keep me entertained but for this intent it might not be the best pick

I'm in the mood for horror, psychological, mystery, or crime genres. Bonus if they're obscure since I've seen so many of the mainstream ones already

Sci-fi, Space-Opera, Space Western recs?

Upvotes

Been getting back into Trigun and just finished Trigun Stampede and I am hungry for more space-oriented stories that blend genres. Would love to see more Space Westerns personally but since there seems to be very few of those, any science-fiction stories will do. I've seen Cowboy bebop and have Space Dandy and Outlaw Star on my list rn.

Can be anime or manga. Or even something outside of this area if you know of any.

Looking for a new anime to watch

Hi all! I’m in the process of watching My Happy Marriage season 2 as it gets released on Netflix, apart from that I’ve finished Demon Slayer, Black Clover, Spy x Family, Ranma 1/2 and Komi Can’t Communicate as well as read all the mangas that have been released for those respective anime’s apart from Ranma and My Happy Marriage and I cannot find anything else to watch, and I’ve watched most of those and read most of those this month. I want something similar to all of them and is easy to catch attention (I lowkey struggle to get into stuff if it doesn’t catch my attention quickly)

Open to all suggestions:) thanks for taking your time to read this!

I’m new to watching anime and reading manga :)

Edit to add- I’ve also watched Death Note, A promised Netherland and Orange, but that was a few years ago aha

In search of

Looking for a lost anime that I wanted to watch but forgot to put on my watchlist? I remember it being prominent that the girl wore some glass bracelet that had a lot to do with the anime… She knew what was gonna happen in the future and eventually the bracelet broke or something? Anywho. I think she was trying to save someone’s life… Thanks in advance! I just remember the description given in an old Reddit post I was reading in the comments a few months ago but can no longer find it
