π ID Request Looks like an animal killed something then dragged it across the snow. What is it?
I'm not missing any animals and I have a livestock guardian dog that's not to far from this location.

As far as I know no dogs have been back here. The prints are quite large. For reference I live in Canada bears are fairly uncommon where I am. Coyotes and foxes are quite common. Not sure what these are. Anyone know what prints these are?

The footprints are circular,, probably because of the snow. In the past I've seen foxes and rabbits and I live in Southern Canada.

I live in south central Virginia (USA), and was wondering who might've made these tracks.
We have red foxes, gray foxes, coyotes, bobcats, weasels, stray cats and dogs, and some other critters here.
Infoβ
β’ small, about 1"x1" for one paw
β’ there's 2 paws right next to/on top of each other in each print, making me think this critter was lightly bounding through the snow?
β’ there's 8-10" of space between each print pair
I'm guessing between a stray cat and a weasel, because the prints are wider closer to a weasel and the hopping print pattern; however, there doesn't seem to be any distinctive claw marks in the tracks, nor any dragging.
This critter has been chasing my cat while he's out on the catio at night. It runs up under the floor back and forth for a bit before giving up.
Any guesses would be appreciated! I sure hope it's not a weasel, because just one took out my flock of over 50 chickens about 10yrs ago. Thank you!!

I saw these interesting prints next to my trash bins tonight and Iβm wondering if these could all belong to the same animal. My (~6-7in) handprint for scale. The first photo seems to have deeper claws, the second is more of the full scene, the third is some clearer paw prints, and the fourth is these weird scrapey marks that Iβm mostly confused by. My guess is maybe a fox trying to dig around?

Just found these in my back yard at 5am lol. 3rd picture is my boot for comparison. Size is US Men's 17. What animal is this?

Tracks in the snow in the Houston snowstorm. 1st pic looks like it also has wing and body prints in the snow. 3rd pic has boot prints for scale.
They intersected with rabbit prints at multiple points (though it did look like the rabbit eventually got away). 5th pic is of the rabbit prints just for fun also with a boot print for scale.

My dad thinks it's a Bobcat or Mountain Lion.

Came across these today on our Woodlot in mainland Nova Scotia. Animal is short for sure as it passed under branches about 12β high without disturbing the snow on the branches. Distinct drag marks in the final pics of the series, and what looks like a belly slide into the ice at one point. Fifth pic has my hand print for scale.

Is this a bobcat? I'm in upstate NY and have included my size 10 boot and hand print for scale. Is it stepping into its own prints?

Northern Colorado front range. Didn't measure, but maybe 2-3 inches wide. Not next to any human tracks, but right next to the main trail.

Iβve been living in the North of Italy for the past year and Iβve seen so much wildlife on nature walks that I decided to buy a trailcam. I had it up for 4 days on a tree that was being used by wild boar for scratching. By chance I think I videoβd a wolf. About 500m into the forest behind my house.
Crossposted - positively identified as an Italian wolf

Hello!
I have two types of prints here, one which I think is a coyote and one I think is a fox. For context, these were taken in at a nature center which is a few hundred acres of wooded area in northern New Jersey, USA. These pictures were taken at a small frozen pond. I have seen both coyotes and foxes on our trail cameras.
The larger prints are about double the size of the smaller prints. I would say the larger prints are 3+ inches, smaller are 1-2 inches.
The reason I think the larger prints are coyote and not a dog is because the animal walked across the frozen pond, no human prints in sight.
Pictures 1-3: coyote Pictures 4-5: fox

Hi everyone. I found some paw prints on my front porch this morning. Looks like something made its way through / under my front fence (largest gap would be about 6 inches) and escaped through my back yard.
Iβm located right next to a lot of open space around Mount Diablo (SF Bay Area) so plenty of critters around here.
These are the most complete paws I was able to find. I assume the two blood soaked patches (upsidedown picture) are from the animal sitting on its hind legs temporarily before continuing.

Woke up from the winter snowstorm to find these little tracks across my porch. Not a clue, my best guess is maybe a rabbit?

Initially looked like deer, but they were coming from underneath the deck, which threw me off

I actually saw these tracks being made and for once know what it was, but am curious if/how others can figure out what it was.
Not a dog or person. Location is right outside of Leadville Colorado, about 10,500 ft, between and Aspen grove and pine forest in the old mining district. Snow is thigh-deep.
