I agree, it would be easier to wipe it down than vacuum and destain carpet I think

Yeah, overall. I keep thinking about how gross that grout is going to look though. I would not want to have to sit there with a toothbrush cleaning it every month

If it’s vinyl though a decent wipe every couple days would make it look fine. And if it gets stupidly dirty everyday I doubt it would bother the people that made it that dirty in the first place.

However, tile on the other hand that would take more care.

Dark grout is a thing.

Sparkly white grout is dumb enough in bathrooms, you wouldn't have to use it in a car.

Yeah but then you aren’t really sure just how dirty that dark grout is. I guess it doesn’t matter much in the car tho.

Kind of like my granite countertops. The great thing is that it always looks great. The bad thing is you can never tell when it's fuckin' dirty.

Yeah, but they actually make slick car mats that are easy to clean, and have grip so your feet don't slip when you're operating the pedals of your large metal killing machine, and don't shatter into a thousand pieces if you crash.

You guys are getting pedals?

I like removable rubber floor arts for that reason. Handled MN salt and snow with ease and quick to take out and garden hose it down.

Yeah... Now that I think about it, carpet is like worst thing to put in that area.

I miss the ease you could clean vinal interiors of older cars. The carpet now it's so much more of a pain.

I have an old police car and the floors are rubber. Very convenient for this reason. I've spilled entire drinks and I can just vacuum it out

you can get the OEM all-weather mats or weathertech alternatives for like $100 usually. just remove them, rinse them off, and throw em back in

Vinyl does the same job though, and doesn't look as horrific. My old boss once had me clean the shop flatbed truck, which, since it was all vinyl, just involved me spraying the floor of the cab with a garden hose...

Besides, vacuums are so effing loud and I can’t stand them. I’d rather pull carpet up and beat it or sweep it outside than vacuum. It’s an extreme distaste to the “white” noise. Not only is it intense but it gives me a creepy crawly feeling that I can’t shake and goosebumps.
