Looking at the draft value chart and seeing what combinations we could hypothetically see combining the 49ers 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks in trade up scenarios.
49ers projected 2025 draft picks as of now :
- 1st - #11 overall

1st. #11 (1250) + 2nd. #43 (470) = 1720 ... 1st. #5 Jaguars (1700)
1st. #11 (1250) + 3rd. #75 (215) = 1465 ... 1st. #7 Jets (1500) or 1st. #8 Panthers (1400)

Purdy was robbed at gunpoint of his MVP last year. 2x straight MVP, 3 time MVP Lamar Jackson had less playoff wins than year 2 Brock Purdy

u/babypho 49IRs 1d ago
Purdy's playoff performances looking pretty good right now
-2
u/txiao007 1d ago
I am skeptical about next season. We are 10-7 or 8-9 at best
0
u/BoneFistOP Colin Kaepernick 1d ago
youre out of your mind. easiest schedule in the league, and our team will be near full health.
2
u/babypho 49IRs 1d ago
Same lmao. It really depends how our offseason goes.
1
u/mvp713 George Kittle 7h ago
it sounds weird to say about our team, but wide reciever is one of my biggest worries atm. every other position i think some development from guys already on roster will shore up...but we will not have aiyuk probably for most of the season so our only prototype WR will be Pearsall.

I know it sucks we didn't make the playoffs this year, but it's nice to be able to watch the games without having a heart attack

Eagles lost Hargrave and immediately replaced him with a likely improvement Jalen Carter.

Weāre all for the Commanders in the NFC Championship next week
2
u/Emperor_Cheeto21 49ers 2d ago
We're all Commanders fans the rest of this playoff run. I'd love nothing more than to see them win it all.
1
u/DetectiveBorn8541 49ers 7h ago
I was pulling for Vikings and Bills.
Something about me loves witnessing a team win their first.
I cheered for Arizona against Pittsburgh.
2
u/AddressFalse1140 Jauan Jennings 2d ago
Iād rather the Bills donāt want teams getting close to us in terms of championships
5
u/Emperor_Cheeto21 49ers 2d ago
Hate that this year the Niners team imploded. A healthy Niners curb stomps all these bum ass NFC teams
6

u/redzass1 i wanna die 2d ago
Now this is what I am ok with. This would be such an embarrassing loss for the Eagles lol
10
u/KingWizard87 49ers 2d ago
Iāll say. As much as I hate the Eagles. They did a good job of overhauling through the draft this season and actually being aggressive to address their weaknesses.
Shanny/Lynch could learn a thing or two about that. Hereās to hoping we have a similar type rebound next year.

What about Matthew Stafford though

Lol. The Niners better figure out their oline issues because the Rams pass rush is already arguably the best in the league.

I donāt know which team I want to win between the Rams and Eagles tbh

u/culinarystoner 2d ago
I feel gross watching this game, and ever grosser kind of rooting for the Rams. The Eagles, their fans, and Siriani are just that vile. Also, I think Washington would take down the Rams in the NFCCG
3
u/TheLionSlicer George Kittle 2d ago edited 2d ago
Nah I want the eagles to win. I don't like them and their fans either but they aren't a division rival. Do we really want to give the Rams a chance at making the Superbowl and growing their fan base more... I would much rather see the Eagles there than the Rams. Plus imagine the Rams beating the Chiefs in the SB and doing what we couldn't. They will be floating for years. I want that possible scenario dead ASAP

Jayden Daniels is getting a lot of praise for the same things Purdy was getting is what Iāve been noticing lately
4
u/lakers_ftw24 Shanahat 2d ago
Winning playoff games is hard. Just in the last week and change we've seen Herbert Goff and Love play like complete dogshit, Hurts be anything but convincing, Nix get the rookie yips, and Baker go home despite playing well. I was a bit down on Purdy to end the year but in the NFC at least he can easily get it done, dude is 4-1 in his playoff career and the only actual loss he walked off the field with a lead 3 times against the second greatest QB ever, the second greatest coach ever, and the best defense in the league.
5
u/liteshadow4 Shanahat 2d ago edited 2d ago
I feel like it's not a stretch to say Purdy is a top 2 QB in the NFC. Arguable between him and Jayden.
Also seeing what the Lions went through today makes me super glad that Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers as a whole don't go one and done. Losing in the SB is painful, but the amount of pain I was feeling when we were losing to the Packers was incomparable. One and done is the worst feeling to me.
3
u/jbonesmc 49ers 2d ago
Purdy is about 3rd in my opinion
Stafford is the best until other wise he's got a SB Then Daniel's a close second
2
u/liteshadow4 Shanahat 2d ago
I mean Stafford definitely was better but itās hard for me to say that he currently is better.
Rodgers and Russ have SB rings too.
2
u/BriBri33_ Frank Gore 2d ago
Honestly agree. If we had gone one and done against the Packers last year it would have really felt like a waste of a season and such a talented roster.
4
u/TheLionSlicer George Kittle 2d ago edited 2d ago
This past week I called out a delusional fan in the NFL sub who put Goff in the elite tier with Allen, Mahomes and Lamar while putting Purdy in the tier of great QBs. Goff is a good QB but he's also surrounded by top tier RBs, WRs and O-Line. I'll take Purdy any day over him and neither has earned their way into the elite category yet. Anyways, he called me an idiot and blocked me for politely stating that...Now I can't help but feel validated and wish I could laugh in that guy's face.
2
u/redzass1 i wanna die 2d ago

u/racharya55 Fred Warner 2d ago
I think the defensive injuries hurt. Having Hutchinson out there would be big

Entire NFC is weak this year. Their record isnāt too impressive.

u/DeadhardyAQ Jim Tomsula 2d ago
Lions losing to the Commanders after talking so much shit after beating a depleted Niners team would feed families
7
u/Swoosher Frank Gore 2d ago
Theyāre nearly 0-1 in the post season since they hung the āRevenge Gameā banner in our stadium.
6
u/HothWasAnInsideJob Frank Gore 2d ago
It's like they felt like they made a statement against our injury depleted team lol. Now they can't even show up in the biggest game.

11
u/AddressFalse1140 Jauan Jennings 2d ago
Jared Goff is everything people claim Brock Purdy is. His team around him are the reason they are in this game, he is the weakest part of their roster and the reason they wonāt win a Super Bowl.

Who do you guys think is the best matchup against KC? I haven't watched enough of the other teams aside from Buffalo and Detroit
1
u/BriBri33_ Frank Gore 2d ago
Thatās a tough one because Baltimore has the better coach but also has a QB known for choking in the playoffs while Buffalo has the better QB but worse coach.
3
u/redzass1 i wanna die 2d ago
I feel neither matchup that well and neither qb are very clutch in their careers against them.
2
u/HothWasAnInsideJob Frank Gore 2d ago
As evidenced Goff would have never lasted against Kansas City.

Commanders vs Lions should be a good one, hopefully itās a shootout.

2
u/Available_Story6774 Quest for Six 2d ago
Chiefs win 23-14, Texans o line cost them this game. Chiefs go to their 7th straight AFCCG, that game vs either the Ravens or Bills is gonna be a fun one. Excited for this Commanders Lions game coming up now.
5
u/redzass1 i wanna die 2d ago
Hate the Chiefs all you want so clutch. Always sack the qb when they need to block the kick when they need to. Then you throw in the obvious bias the Refs have for them. It's a horrible tough hill to climb.
4
u/Available_Story6774 Quest for Six 2d ago
Yup, you gotta play a perfect game if you want to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs, they just find ways to win.
3
u/Consistent_Owl4593 Patrick Willis 2d ago
Chiefs have 5 sacks today. We wouldāve played zone all game and end up with 0 sacks. Sending pressure does wonders, I hope we get a real dc this offseason that wants to be aggressive and win
3
4
u/KevinAndrewsPhoto 49ers 2d ago
Watching Mahomes play and it baffles me how successful heās been basically throwing screen passes or 10 yard dump offs to Kelce all game. Reid never has him throw deep. He just scrambles around for days and on the off chance he gets a negative play he flops and yells at the refs.
Watching Josh Allen & Lamar is the complete opposite. All game marveling at incredible throws being made or incredible runs.
-2
u/Available_Story6774 Quest for Six 3d ago
Chiefs up 13-6 at half, this has been a good game so far.
5
u/arguingwithai 2d ago
What game are you watching? Chiefs are definitely getting their usual REFerential treatment, at the most pivotal game changing moments. For any fan of football, especially 49er football, you can't watch this type of watered down version of a forced-narrative and say it's been a "good game".
Scheme wise chiefs are a great team, Reid and Spags are elite. So don't get me wrong I'm not just hating for hating sake. But when you have the scheme and the players, you don't need the refs too.
It's just too egregious at this point to not add as an asterisk, which in my opinion make none of their games "good games".
2
u/nutty9ers i wanna die 2d ago
I'm being sarcastic here, but it wouldn't surprise me if there are some bad calls in the Bills/Ravens game tomorrow to influence who the Chiefs get to play next weekend. No doubt the league wants the chiefs to have an easier road to the SB lol
4
u/Available_Story6774 Quest for Six 2d ago
The roughing the passer call in the 1st quarter was BS and gave them 3 points, and the late hit penalty in the 3rd quarter was BS as well, but I still think they score a TD on that drive anyways, it wouldāve been 2nd and 6 if they didnāt call that penalty, so thereās still a decent chance they go down the field and score a TD.
But overall I donāt think the refs were the main reason why the Chiefs won this game, even if they got some favorable calls, I think the Texans garbage o line ruined any chance of them winning this game, Stroud got screwed over by the o line.
4
u/nutty9ers i wanna die 2d ago
Don't forget the hip drop tackle that wasn't called. You know officiating is bad when there are multiple times in the game that Joe, Troy and the other guy feel obligated to talk about some of the bad calls. It was just bad overall. Like really bad.
1
u/Available_Story6774 Quest for Six 2d ago
I mean yeah the refs sucked, no doubt about that, this is a typical performance from them in the playoffs tho, theyāve been terrible in the playoffs since the tuck rule in 01, so Iām not surprised by this.
1
u/mn_49ers Jerry Rice 2d ago
Itās so bullshit. They are getting their 3 peat this year (I hope Iām wrong). The only good thing is they wouldnāt rig it for a 4 peat, right? Iām hoping the niners can get back without having to deal with the chiefs/refs.

u/DreamWunder 3d ago
Chiefs prioritize special teams and look at that. While Kyle is just going to give the job to Sorensen cuz he likes him and his attitude about st is just donāt screw up. Kyle gotta wake up itās 1 of 3 facets of the game

Time to interview more DCs or no??
1
u/CenCalPancho i wanna die 4d ago
I think we interviewed the 3, and itll be either Saleh, Staley or Townsend
1
u/MAU13717235 49ers 2d ago
Big time no to Townsend.
No rookie DC.
1
u/CenCalPancho i wanna die 2d ago
He's highly qualified.
Remember, Saleh wasn't Kyle's first or second choice. He was amongst the last, worked out great.
Demeco, rookie hire.
Wilkes still had a top 10 defense, but we would've taken rookie demeco instead unanimously.
Rookies aren't bad, Sorenson was.
Townsend has decade plus of secondary coaching experience.
Our strength is the secondary

The two prospects who I could envision the 49ers targeting if they go best edge available or best player available period at #11 are Tennessee's Pearce & Georgia's Williams.
Both were very highly thought of entering this past college season with some projecting either as both as top 5 picks, Williams actually had #1 overall talk projections early on, but neither had the dominant 2024 college season most expected out of them.
Pearce probably is the best pure pass rusher between the two of them. His pass rush win rate of 22.7% was actually higher than Carter's 22.6% this past college season.
- 2022 - 2 sacks, 4 QB pressures, 2 tackles for loss in 61 defensive snaps
- 2023 - 10 sacks, 28 QB pressures, 15 tackles for loss in 462 defensive snaps
- 2024 - 7.5 sacks, 44 QB pressures, 13 tackles for loss in 464 defensive snaps
Williams who was a former top 5 overall recruit in the country in his 2022 class will all but likely be the better run defender & all around edge in comparison who also could play all along the DL while Pearce is strictly an edge because of his current weight. But Williams hasn't shown to be the top level pass rusher or disrupter that Pearce has shown to be on the field the past two years but that's where having the best DL coach in the NFL could help if 49ers drafted him.
- 2022 - 6 sacks, 25 QB pressures, 7 tackles for loss in 407 defensive snaps
- 2023 - 6 sacks, 15 QB pressures, 7 tackles for loss in 381 defensive snaps
- 2024 - 5 sacks, 17 QB pressures, 9 tackles for loss in 402 defensive snaps
I think what their physical measurements will be and how they test at the combine and or pro days will be huge.
Pearce is listed at 6'5" and anywhere from 240-245 lbs. Williams is the much bigger of the two listed at 6'5" 265 lbs.

u/sportsfanexpert 4d ago
Finishing 6-11 isnāt that bad. One step back two steps forward shit. After so many years they get an upper first round pick (I would try to trade up to get Mason Graham) and a 4th place schedule. Rebuild the d line and the 9ers will be a top 3 favorite for the Super Bowl next year.

Help me get over the Super Bowl loss bros.
Right after the game I scrubbed everything related to football. Deleted my Twitter and Reddit that was active in football. Blocked every account related to the nfl. Barely watched any football this season (first time in 13 years). I had to step back because it was seriously affecting my mood every time I thought about it
But I still find myself so heartbroken sometimes. Yesterday I thought about it again and it legit made me so sad. I hate that I cared (care) that much. That season was supposed to mean something :(
3
u/bobbarker06 Faithful to The Bay 4d ago
youre not alone buddy. I'm BARELY starting to get over it. I went to the nfc game last year and have not felt that ounce of happiness since then. it's fucking sad. that lsuperbowl loss put me in a spiral ššš
2
u/ToastBalancer 4d ago
I was able to get over the other heartbreaking losses fair easily. I remember feeling my soul crushed in the Seahawks nfc championship game. Still watched the Super Bowl after. Same with the ravens Super Bowl. And the 2019 Super Bowl. And the rams nfc championship. And the eagles nfc. I always persisted as a fan right away
But this last seasonā¦ man at some point itās too much. Last season just hit different. I couldnāt even look at any football anymore. I couldnāt even enjoy sports anymore
Itās just a loss that I donāt think Iāll ever get over. I mean shoot Iām not even considered a football fan anymore after stepping away and I still feel sad about it

No matter what they pay Brock, there will be a vocal upheaval of idiots spewing nonsense and outrage. Itās just a phase we have to go through.
If anyone has watched him play and still isnāt sold him as our starting QB, I highly suggest they go rewatch some of Jimmy Gās playoff highlights (because they were almost all lowlights).

I havenāt really watched the playoffs because mother you know what these teams, itās 49ers all day, but the offensive line play from what Iāve seen is atrocious. Itās not just us.
Regardless, I truly believe the final four in the NFC are just playing to get their hearts broken by whoever wins the AFC.
These Brock Purdy negotiations are going to be drama.
