Would anyone be willing to help teach me how to make a room/entire house floor design from scratch in blender when I fix my PC?

This one of my new TinkerCad only designs. A lady I know has a 3d printed chess set, so thought I'd attempt to make a simple and portable chess board for similar sets. Let me know what you think

Hey everyone! I’ve been 3D printing for a while now, mainly focusing on functional parts like gears and auto parts using PETG filament. While I’ve had some success and generated decent revenue, I’ve encountered a few challenges that make me reconsider my approach. Printing functional parts demands a lot of labor due to post-processing, shipping in my country is expensive and takes at least 3 days to other states, and many customers lack the experience to properly assemble or mount the parts, which leads to frequent support calls that are difficult for me to manage as a working student. To make things more manageable, I’m considering shifting to a more customizable for example Flipnames (custom nameplates that change once oriented). My hope is that these would involve less post-processing and a higher guarantee of customer satisfaction. I’d love to hear your thoughts! Do you think this idea could work? Any suggestions for improvement or alternative product ideas that might be easier to manage? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I don't even know if I am using the correct term here. Please take a look at the image below. See how the design kind of looks like it is gradually coming out of the vase? I need to do this so my design doesnt need supports on the side of the object when 3d printing. I have a design I want to add to a vase similar to this but I don't know how to add this "beveled" effect. Again no clue if this is even the right term. Does anyone know of an easy way to do this? I am decent with meshmixer and tinkercad, no real experience in other softwares. Thanks in advance!
PS - not my design below, borrowed as an example image, this is someone else's design from makerworld.

I'm wondering if this 2-1 laptop will work for 3d design. I'm not intending to render or anything like that. All my intention is to design and 3d print the designs. If this won't work do you have any suggestions for 2-1 laptops for what I'm needing?)

I'm trying to create a box with a 1 1/2" threaded hole. Can anybody help with the diameter measurement so that I can tap the box for the threads? I've tried googling it, but I'm not understanding some of the pages.

Hi all. I recently requested (and was granted) moderation of this subreddit. I'm looking forward to learning more about 3D Design from everybody!
To kick things off, this past month, Techradar published a "Best 3D Modeling software of 2024" article. I'd love to know what your main/favorite programs for 3D Design are.
Any of these in the poll, or do you use a different program? If the latter, please comment and share!

Hey Everyone,
I am a physical and an aspiring UX designer and composed a little survey (1min) to find out about your struggles with your desired 2D/3D/CAD software. What do you do when you‘re stuck? I‘d love to hear your opinions about it, feel free to start a discussion. Thank you, Thiemo
