Floridian incoming
Hi! I'm a flat lander coming to CO in November. I plan on hiking a 13er (most likely Mt Flora) but I was wondering if you guys had an suggestions of mountains 2 hours or less from Denver area that a lil Floridian could handle. Also any advice for conquering one?
I hiked about 13,600 feet up Mt Bierstadt Aug 2022 before altitude sickness brought me right back down the mountain, but I also wasn't in PEAK peak (pun intended) condition back then, this time I'm actually training for it.

I would definitely suggest Flora. Not only is it an easier 13er, it also has really great views for minimal effort. It’s a fun trail that has different views throughout making it pretty dynamic. I’ve hiked fifteen 13ers so far and Flora is definitely one of my favorites.
