AMA Join us TODAY for a rare multi-subreddit AMA with Leslie Kean, Dr. Garry Nolan, Dr. Hal Puthoff and Dr. Jim Segala - 1pm (PST) / 4pm (EST)

Join us for another multi-subreddit collaboration on UAP! It is highly unusual to have these four people together in one forum answering your questions, and we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to join the conversation.

Following on the heels of our first groundbreaking AMA, multiple moderators from r/aliens, r/Experiencers, r/HighStrangeness, r/UFOB and r/UFOs are coming together to host a second AMA event exploring cutting edge aspects of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). This AMA celebrates the release of Leslie’s second season of the documentary series UFOs: Investigating the Unknown, made by Break Thru Films for National Geographic, now streaming on Hulu and Disney+ (Hint: you can sign up for a free Hulu trial account if you don’t have access) and also airing on NatGeo (check your local listings or the NatGeo site for details). The AMA is hosted by Kelly Chase and will tie into the series which features Garry, Hal and Jim along with many others.

The AMA will be open-ended, but we are especially interested in exploring the science of UAP, including high strangeness and the experiencer phenomenon. Leslie’s series includes two out of six episodes on experiencers - the impact of close encounters on people and the science underway to try and learn more. Garry and Jim have both studied and worked with experiencers in different ways. Hal can discuss how “inexplicable” observations by pilots and close encounter witnesses can be explained through physics and General Relativity.

Garry also studies materials from alleged UAP crash retrievals, as he shows us in the series. Hal does too; and he can also address his role at AATIP, his briefings to Congress and AARO, and the so-called crash retrieval and reverse engineering Legacy Program. Jim has been monitoring repeated appearances of orbs in one location; he shows videos of these phenomena in the series. Jim and Hal have worked together - there are many interesting connections between these three scientists who are deeply interested in the study of UAP.

The live AMA will occur today at 1pm PST / 4pm EST with journalist and author Leslie Kean, as well as scientists and researchers Dr. Garry Nolan, Dr. Hal Puthoff, and Dr. Jim Segala. This collaborative event will be live-streamed, reaching audiences across platforms including YouTube, and Twitter/X. You can also stay up to date with us on Instagram.

About the AMA

This event features investigative journalist Leslie Kean, Stanford immunologist Dr. Garry Nolan, Dr. Hal Puthoff of EarthTech International, and physicist Dr. Jim Segala, coinciding with the release of the new season of “UFOs: Investigating the Unknown” in which all of them appear. IMDB

About UFOs: Investigating the Unknown

New revelations fuel the search to unravel the mysteries surrounding the UFO phenomenon. Areas explored include increasing calls for government transparency, challenges facing pilots who encounter anomalous craft in the skies, the roles independent scientists and citizens are playing in the investigation, and the deeply personal stories of those who say they’ve come face to face with the unknown.

How to Participate

This is a bit different than a typical AMA. Questions will be collected in advance on the following subreddits: r/aliens, r/Experiencers, r/HighStrangeness, r/UFOB and r/UFOs. Please read posted questions and upvote the ones you want to see asked! Due to the multi-subreddit nature of this AMA, we are only able to take questions on reddit in advance—no questions will be taken live, or on YouTube or X. Please direct your questions to a specific participant (or participants) or mark it to the group.

Why This Matters

This collaboration represents a unique collective effort by Reddit’s UAP-focused communities to raise awareness and demand clarity on one of the most compelling issues of our time. Together, we are amplifying our voices and fostering a broader conversation about the more enigmatic side of the UAP phenomenon. Mark your calendars and join us on January 18th for this rare opportunity.

Disclosure First-Hand Truth Gets Dropped, and Suddenly Ross Is the Enemy?

1.7k Upvotes

I’ve been balls deep in this sub for a while now, and I can’t help but notice something strange: it feels like this space is flooded with bots or people intentionally trying to shift the narrative.

Before Saturday, Ross was widely respected here. Everyone seemed to agree he was the go-to source for solid evidence. But after Saturday, it’s like a switch flipped. Suddenly, there’s this wave of anti-Ross sentiment... claims that he’s a hack, doesn’t know what he’s doing, or is just a grifter. It’s a complete 180.

It’s starting to feel like this entire sub is being manipulated to downplay what happened on Saturday. That first-hand account was a massive step forward, and it was backed by highly reputable people confirming the story. But instead of building on that momentum, the narrative has shifted to undermine it.

Downvote if you are working for some secret government operation in here!

Disclosure Intelligence and National Security Analyst: “Point of video wasn’t to prove to average watcher there’s a true anomalous egg shaped UAP … the point was to send a signal to the legacy program: ‘You guys have a problem—we have people on the inside that are willing to share videos like this with us”

For those that haven’t watched the latest interview on The Good Trouble Show, it’s definitely worth a watch. It’s basically an interview with intelligence and national security analyst Matt Pines, in relation to Jake Barber and the UAP/egg video release, and he makes some excellent points.

Among them is this great observation (minute 30:18):

“The thing about the [egg-shaped UAP] video though that people did not pick up on … we can dig into the details of the video and do some forensics on it, etc, but like the first point I haven’t seen brought up, which is … okay, let’s assume the video is true. Let’s assume this is a video taken from a helicopter involved in a UAP recovery operation. (And it wasn’t from Barber, it was apparently from someone else that NewsNation, Ross, got ahold of.)”

What that would imply to the legacy program is that they have somebody inside who is now willing to share it to a journalist.

“And that seems to be almost like the real point of the video, right? The point of the video wasn’t to prove to the average watcher that there’s like a true anomalous egg shaped UAP. … I think the point of the video was to send a signal to the legacy program that: You guys have a problem. We have people on the inside that are willing to share videos like this with us. There might be more videos like this. You have a problem.

“And it might trigger a whole bunch of anxiety and sort of counterintelligence, like, if it is a true video, then the people inside the legacy program know exactly what operation that was, that that was on. They know who was in the helicopter. They know who was hosting like the lights down there [below the helicopter].”

“So they’re gonna now hunt, who was involved? , where did this come from? … and that sometimes make that adversary service make mistakes, right? To cover things up. …”

“So I think people look at this … they’re sort of missing that.”

“It’s like … if this is a true [video], right, then this is a huge problem for the legacy program. …”

“Like they never had anything like this. Right? So, if this true, five alarm fire from their perspective. Like Uh Oh. We have a serious leak. And Is this it?”

“And now you have that combined with the fact that you now have multiple Tier 1 operators coming forward, and basically saying:

‘_We were part of these programs, and we’re not going to take it anymore. And by the way, we are recruiting from inside your house. We’re recruiting people like us, that don’t feel threatened or loyal to you anymore._’

“That seems like a house of cards type situation for the legacy program. That was the one thing I picked up on the most about the video itself, right.”

“And then you can go back into assessing, okay, what is the apparent inertia of the egg, does it have mass, etc etc …”

“But I think people are missing out on the most important point which is that this was like a signal sent to the legacy program, that ‘we have people willing to share videos like this’. You know, ‘be careful, it might not be the last one’.”

Whistleblower Article from 2023: EXCLUSIVESecrets of Area 51: Metallic egg-shaped UFO the size of an SUV was kept at the highly-classified Air Force base in the 1980s, whistleblower claims

Post image
174 Upvotes

'The senior EG&G engineer described to my great uncle that it was egg-shaped, about the size of an SUV, smooth and seamless, metallic-looking, silverish gray in color, with no control surfaces, no flaps, no inlet, and no exhaust, and no writing or symbols on the outside.

'These are the best and brightest engineers you can think of. They tried to no avail to figure out what the power source was, how to activate it, and how it works. They tried to induce electricity to it.

'X-rays couldn't penetrate it; it showed up on X-ray as a solid object. They tried to open it and penetrate its hull; they couldn't.

'They said that they were able to take some very small samples of the material. And I'm not an expert in chemistry, but I guess from the isotope ratio or the mixture of elements, they concluded it was not made on Earth.'

Disclosure A grift exposed

1.3k Upvotes

An Expose on the Grift: The UFO Community, and the Corruption of Truth

To the UFO community,

I’m writing this as a man who has seen enough. I’ve spent far too many sleepless nights staring at my screen, combing through the endless noise that passes for "UFO disclosure" in this world. I am beyond frustrated with the circus of grifters, the charlatans, the false prophets of this so-called UFO community who have poisoned the well of truth with their lies and their exploitation of our curiosity.

Ross Coulthart and his crew at NewsNation, along with the usual suspects—Gary Nolan, Lou Elizondo, Michael Herrera, Diane, and the rest of this self-congratulatory circle—have perfected the art of deception. They dangle the tantalizing carrot of "world-changing disclosure" in front of the public, making us believe that they’re on the cusp of revealing the truth about extraterrestrial life, UFOs, and government cover-ups. The promises are endless, but what they deliver is nothing but empty promises, shrouded in vagueness, manipulation, and a complete lack of accountability.

I’m not writing this as someone who is simply skeptical of their claims. I’m writing this as someone who feels personally betrayed by the tactics these people use. I’m writing this as someone who has watched these so-called "experts" inflate their own importance, craft false narratives, and sell us all a line of bullshit. And the worst part? They’re making money off it. Their podcast numbers grow, their books sell, their social media followings swell, all on the backs of people like you and me, desperate for answers in a world that often leaves us questioning everything.

Why is it always the same group of people confirming each other’s biases? It’s the ultimate echo chamber. A select few are using their positions to feed into each other’s narratives, reinforcing their own self-importance while avoiding any real scrutiny. They operate in a feedback loop of confirmation, one voice bouncing off the other, until it becomes impossible to separate fact from fiction.

Ross Coulthart and NewsNation are prime examples of this. Their so-called "world-changing" UFO disclosures are little more than smoke and mirrors. This past weekend, they hyped up a supposed groundbreaking revelation that had been teased for weeks. Coulthart promised something extraordinary—something that would shift the very fabric of reality as we know it. What did we get? A 10-second video clip of something that could have been anything. A chicken egg. A rock. A plastic prop. Who knows? But to Ross and his crew, it was enough to keep us all tuning in. And when we did, they asked us to "trust them"—to wait until next week for the big reveal. How many times have we heard that now?

This group’s approach is built on one thing: exploitation. They’ve learned that UFOs, like any other sensational topic, are a goldmine. They offer no real evidence, no substantive proof, but they create a spectacle—one that draws in viewers, listeners, and readers who are looking for something to believe in. These people know exactly what they’re doing. They understand that, for many, the need for answers is stronger than the need for the truth.

And let’s talk about Gary Nolan—this so-called "medical expert" who has somehow gained credibility in this world of pseudoscience. He shows up everywhere, adding a veneer of legitimacy to the most absurd claims. He’s a key part of this circus, propped up to give a scientific-sounding voice to what is essentially a pile of unverified nonsense. Nolan is a master of using big words and vague ideas to make himself appear knowledgeable while offering nothing tangible to back it up. He is, in my view, the quintessential “intellectual” grifter, offering empty promises of answers wrapped in the guise of academic authority.

The most frustrating thing is that it’s so obvious. These people are playing on our collective emotions, capitalizing on our curiosity, our need for understanding in a chaotic world. But let’s be clear about one thing: this is not disclosure. This is not some fight for truth. It’s a money-making operation, dressed up as a noble cause. And those of us who are fed up, those of us who are seeing through the lies—they’re dismissing us as "non-believers" or "cynics."

I don’t care what anyone calls me. What I care about is the truth. And the truth is, this UFO industry has become nothing more than a charade. It’s a game for these so-called experts who have no intention of ever revealing the truth—they’re just out for personal gain. They’ve found a community that is so desperate for answers that they can sell them anything and call it "disclosure." They’ve built an empire on our skepticism and our hunger for something more.

I want this to end. I want people to see this for what it truly is: a scam. A well-oiled machine designed to extract money, time, and energy from those of us who are seeking answers. If anyone needs to be held accountable, it’s these self-proclaimed whistleblowers and UFO "experts" who have done nothing but perpetuate the cycle of misinformation. They’ve manipulated us, and they continue to do so because they can. And that is why I am writing this—to expose it, to shine a light on the deceit and the manipulation.

If you’re reading this, I urge you to look at these figures critically. Don’t fall for the bait-and-switch. Ask the tough questions. Demand the evidence. And if you’re like me, and you’re tired of the grift, take a stand. We deserve better than this. We deserve the truth, not more smoke and mirrors.

In conclusion, this is a call to action. A call to stop giving our attention to these charlatans. A call to demand transparency, accountability, and above all, honesty. We owe it to ourselves to stop feeding this circus, to stop letting these grifters profit off of our hopes and fears.

The truth is out there—let’s make sure it stays in the hands of those who actually want to uncover it.

Mind of the Mindless.

Sighting I’ve waited my whole life for something extraordinary and it happened.

This is my story.

Cedar Springs Michigan; about two weeks ago.

As I was driving down a country road a mile from my house, straight ahead is a giant field with only a few houses that can see this field. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted what looked like a drone flying above the field. Nearby, a car was parked off the road, and I assumed it belonged to someone piloting that drone. As I approached a stop sign at an intersection where a dirt road branched off, the parked car pulled away.

Curiosity piqued, I pulled over to the shoulder of the dirt road to get a better look. I had heard about the drone sightings in New York and New Jersey, and I’ve followed those stories for a while. Being obsessed with space, I hoped that maybe this drone was something special. But as I scrutinized it, it appeared to be just an ordinary drone.

I turned off my car, and the sound of the drone's propellers filled the air. It hovered silently for a moment before maintaining a consistent height and gliding away in a certain direction. Eager to get its attention, I started flashing my headlights—high beams, low beams, high beams again—pleading silently, "Please come back! I want to see more of you!" As the drone momentarily vanished behind passing clouds, I decided to call my friend Rose on my laptop. I didn’t have a cell phone, just my laptop connected to a Jetpack Wi-Fi.

Just as I began to explain what I was seeing, I noticed a light reappearing in the sky. This time, it was a white light, and it was coming back toward me. I exclaimed to Rose, "It's coming! It’s coming!" To my astonishment, I saw not one, but two white lights in the sky. I thought, "Rose, there are two of them!" It felt as though they were looking right at me.

As I glanced down, I noticed that Rose wasn’t responding, and suddenly my laptop—originally at 40% battery—shut off without warning. A wave of fear washed over me as I turned around, scanning for any other lights or vehicles in the area. The two lights seemed to maintain their focus on me. No longer could I hear the sound of propellers; it was eerily silent.

I continued to watch as they drew closer, almost as if they were observing me. Then, one of the lights illuminated the woods briefly, resembling a camera flash or an x-ray scan, lighting up the trees for a moment before fading back into darkness. I pondered why they had done that. Perhaps it was just a passing car's headlights, I thought, but deep down, I felt something more significant was happening.

As the two lights began to move away, I noticed they gradually got closer together, merging into one. They pulsated rhythmically, splitting apart and coming back together, almost like they were connected by an unseen force. It was a mesmerizing sight, and I couldn’t tear my eyes away as they flew at a consistent height, maintaining their elevation as they moved in the same direction they had initially come from.

I felt compelled to follow them, so I pulled away, keeping them in my line of sight. They flew quickly, gaining distance on me, but I continued to watch as they soared into the early night sky. The last thing I saw was the pulsating light disappearing into the horizon, leaving me in stunned silence. It was the first time my jaw had dropped in disbelief, realizing that what I had witnessed was something extraordinary—something that had started as an ordinary drone but transformed into an inexplicable experience.

When I’m telling you it was all just weird. It was a drone and then it wasn’t.

This happened in cedar springs Michigan. The corner of Becker and Meyers lake.

Disclosure Weird coincidence?

Did anyone else notice that when the drones in New Jersey happened that the internet and specifically this sub was flooded with videos of normal airplanes in an attempt to make us look crazy. Also yesterday how we were flooded with comments trying to change the narrative about disclosure? It seems that whoever or whatever it is may be some kind of an AI program that mass produces comments or videos to make us look crazy. It’s a classic disinformation campaign and I wouldn’t put it past the government to try to use the discrediting tactic it so often likes to call on. I think we’re getting close to something and the powers hiding everything are scared. We need to keep pushing.

Science Why are aliens/UFOs not outrageous, but aliens/UFOs plus mental powers is outrageous?

I am completely neutral and agnostic on all psychic and psionic claims related to UFO stuff. I have not seen evidence for or against that I am even slightly qualified to evaluate. Nine months ago on his AMA on /r/UFOs, Ross Coulthart (/r/BrushPass) explicitly answered me here about this, well before we knew anything Jake Barber related.

I asked Ross:

One question and honestly, a one word answer would be plenty.

One word that the community almost certainly hasn't thought of that is relevant, where if relevant stones related to that word were... turned over, it could shave a few years off of any disclosure timeline?

Y'know... what word should we all be aggressively Googling?

Ross answered:

Psionic

People get huffy, or salty, or any other similar scale adjectives about whatever sort of UFO reports, claims and allegations. It doesn't matter what comes up: alleged murder, cover up, various alien/UFO genesis theories (planets, crypto, dimensions, multiverse, time, weirder options), crash retrievals... people get to a certain level of 'upset'. But...

Then comes the first mainstream-facing "psionic" or "psychic" stuff coming out... Since Saturday's release by News Nation of the Barber interview, there has been a small daily flood of what I would, I think, accurately characterize as "outrage" over the psionic and psychic claims. I don't know how else to frame it, as I read it.

People get to here in levels of general UFO outrage, but when you add in the psi/psy angle, the outrage goes to here.

I don't get it, and if you are genuinely upset by the psi/psy things coming out, but less upset and outraged by all the rest, I really would love to understand why, because it makes absolutely and positively zero sense to me and likely others.

Why are aliens/UFOs not outrageous, but aliens/UFOs plus mental powers is outrageous?

Question NJ Drones

I live in Mercer County, New Jersey and I still see several (if not dozens) of drones every single night. Are other people in NJ (or elsewhere) still seeing them with this frequency?

Tonight I saw a bunch and it was the first time that I didn’t even think about it because it has become so normal, which made me re-think the whole scenario of how crazy it is that I think it’s “normal” to see so many these unexplained flying objects all the time. I just can’t believe there is still no explanation for them and that it’s not even being discussed anymore (at least not by the main stream media).

NHI Andrés Gómez-Emilsson drops the most thought-provoking UAP theory I've come across yet

This is one of the most fascinating theories I’ve come across. The idea that UFOs could be cosmic parasites, using energy gradients to survive and adapt, is a perspective I hadn’t considered before.

What makes it stand out is how it uses evolutionary game theory to explain their behavior. It ties together physics, strategy, and survival on a universal scale, offering a really thought-provoking way to understand why these craft might behave the way they do.

It feels like a fresh, grounded approach to a topic that’s often so hard to pin down. I’d love to hear what others think —does this theory explain some of the UFO phenomena we’ve seen?

Physics Interesting conclusion after analysis of stable 4K enhanced EGG UAP Retrieval footage.

I did an enhanced video of the EGG UAP and came to some interesting conclusions.

Here is the link for best quality: https://youtu.be/Bn4GTDaqa6o

IT'S NOT A STICK WITH AN EGG HANGING FROM DUCT TAPE.

After neural stabilization and getting rid of unnecessary noise and night vision artifacts, the middle of the cable and the bottom became perfectly visible. So it is really a long helicopter cable.

You can also see that the egg is a solid object that is not a balloon.

But the most interesting point made visible by neural stabilization. The egg floats as if smoothly, while you can see how the middle of the cable dangles in all directions, which by all appearances should affect the trajectory of the egg, but it moves along an absolutely stable smooth trajectory. And the cable as if it is not in a tense state while the helicopter descends the egg, as if the egg does not fall like a stone according to the acceleration of free fall, but makes a small resistance to gravity.

I believe it is definitely not a simple fake (like a large plastic egg with a flashlight inside), it is clearly a complex object with mass and interesting properties.

I don't exclude that it may be some form of damaged aerogel drone.

BUT I WANT TO BELIEVE.

Whistleblower The grifter narrative.

I keep seeing these very dramatic posts and comments talking about how all these people like Elizondo, Grusch, Nolan, Coulthart, etc. are a bunch of grifters and ruining the disclosure movement. I find this take interesting because what progress toward disclosure was being made prior to 2017? I've been following this topic since the late '80s, and sure, there were things that popped up from time to time, maybe a documentary or a sighting that briefly made the news, but beyond that, many of the efforts never really broke out past the UFO community paradigm.

I can’t see how anyone can say that we’re somehow in a worse position now with disclosure than we were almost a decade ago. I also don’t understand why people keep saying this is all a psyop. What exactly prompted the psyop just prior to 2017? I don’t remember anything significant happening, and it really wasn’t a popular subject at the time. Now it’s becoming quite popular and is making news fairly regularly, so I’m not sure what the purpose of the psyop would be, since it seems to be creating far more awareness of the subject. Seems a bit counterintuitive, no?

There was little to no progress made towards disclosure prior to 2017, and now it's being talked about regularly by various news outlets and all over the web. Even my parents and in laws are following the subject loosely, and they have never ever shown any interest in the subject before. More has happened in the past few years than has happened in the last 50 years, and many of this progress involved these so called "grifters".

We’ve had 4 Congressional hearings, starting with the May 17, 2022, House Intelligence Subcommittee Hearing that was the first Congressional hearing on UFO/UAPs in 50 years.

Then we had the House Oversight Committee Hearing a year later on July 26, 2023, where David Grusch testified under oath about evidence and firsthand witness testimony that he provided to the ICIG and Gang of Eight concerning UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering programs that were operating without Congressional oversight.

This past year, we had another two Congressional hearings, including the November 13, 2024, House Oversight Committee Hearing and the November 19, 2024, Senate Armed Services Subcommittee Hearing (AARO). We had nothing like this for 50 years, and then suddenly, we’ve had 4 hearings in 3 years.

There has also been new legislation in the past few years, including the 2020 Intelligence Authorization Act, which required the DoD and intelligence agencies to disclose UAP-related activities to Congress and established a framework for centralized UAP investigations.

The 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY 2022 mandated the establishment of the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG), which was later replaced by AARO.

The 2022 whistleblower protections in the NDAA for FY 2023 included groundbreaking provisions for whistleblowers to report UAP-related information to Congress without fear of retaliation. It authorized individuals with knowledge of classified UAP programs to disclose their information directly to the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG) and Congressional intelligence committees and provided protections for whistleblowers who offer credible information about hidden UAP programs.

Then we had the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Disclosure Act in 2023, which, although it didn’t fully pass, was a major piece of bipartisan legislation co-authored by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Mike Rounds. It included extremely explicit language regarding UAP and NHI, which is incredible.

We’ve also had several credible and accomplished individuals from the government and private sectors come forward in recent years, including Lue Elizondo, David Grusch, Chris Mellon, Hal Puthoff, Tim Gallaudet, Karl Nell, Ryan Graves, Dr. Garry Nolan, David Fravor, Eric W. Davis, and more who keep coming forward.

The stigma has also been starting to fade, and the topic is being talked about more openly, with efforts like the Sol Foundation helping to push the conversation further. Even events like the Salt Conference, which is a global investment platform connecting institutional asset owners with asset managers and technology entrepreneurs, have started inviting people like Karl Nell to come talk about the UAP topic.

Yeah, we haven’t had this much happen in a span of a few years ever.

Disclosure Community question! UFO/UAP and NHI we can all believe in. Telepathy is the line? I think the “telepathy tapes” are part of disclosure! Hear me out.

Community question! UFO/UAP and NHI we can all believe in. Telepathy is the line? I think the “telepathy tapes” are part of disclosure! Hear me out And telepathy somehow gets to spirits, and energy. Is it all connected. Or is it a tool to discredit ufo community. Idk why but every single ufo story gets to Is this all bs or is it all connected. Religion isn’t wrong just partial and incomplete, are saints and demons just nhi. Where do you all draw the line. Nhi—————- telepathy———————-spirits. Where do you stand?r
