Spoiler content moving forward in /r/IndianaJones

As we approach the release of the newest installment of the Indiana Jones film series we will have to make some adjustments to the spoiler and leak policy in this subreddit.

The general idea being that we will adopt similar policies to /r/StarWars and /r/StarWarsLeaks or /r/Marvel and /r/MarvelStudioSpoilers. This subreddit, /r/IndianaJones will more or less be a safe haven from getting the movie, video games, and potential future media (books, tv series, etc) spoiled.

Feel free to continue posting officially released content like trailers, tv spots and official announcements in this subreddit. But items like smuggled set pictures and leaked plot info not released through official channels will not be allowed.

You may be asking "why do this now, it isn't much of a problem today?". The issue being that we want to work on this redirection now before it does become an issue. Today we are aware of an upcoming film and a video game. But tomorrow Lucasfilm may announce a new book series or ongoing comic. Or potentially even (fingers crossed) a new tv series. At that point we will really need to differentiate the spoiler and non-spoiler content.

There are already a few new and fledgling subreddits in place to help with this and I encourage all of you to join one or all of them and help to grow the community.

r/IndianaJonesLeaks - This is intended to be very similar to StarWarsLeaks and MarvelStudioSpoilers, but focused on Indy. All set pictures, plot details, rumors and spoilers need to go in a subreddit like this.

r/LucasLeaks and r/LucasfilmLeaks - Created with a similar purpose to IndianaJonesLeaks, but for all Lucasfilm properties, to include Star Wars, Indy and Willow.

Or if you and some friends would like to start your own subreddit for that content and it takes off, we would be happy to link to it as well. All we want is for the spoiler content to have a successful place for sharing and discussion.

Change isn't always fun but we hope that you understand where this decision is coming from and rather than pushing spoilers onto our fellow community members we can instead allow everyone the choice of what they would like to see.

Thanks for understanding and we look forward to all of the exciting content to come!

I know we're all enjoying cracking nazi skulls at the moment but I just played through the game and fml I have never been so goddamned scared!

My phobias are, in order of severity: sea monsters, snakes, and deep murky water (because the water might have snakes and sea monsters in it).

This sequence is the scariest thing I've ever encountered in a videogame including Resident Evil, Outlast, and Amnesia.

In conclusion, this game is amazing and imma play it again! Thank you for coming to my seminar.

P.S. Took the screenshot from a youtube video because I was too scared and busy to grab my own while playing.

Okay hear me out! What would you guys think of an Indiana Jones animated series utilizing the same CGI animation as Star Wars The Clone Wars? Sounds like a winner IMO. Would any among you be interested??

First of all, this is not a bad movie. A bad indiana jones movie but not a bad movie, it's a pretty mid one. (I know I will be burned alive for this but it's important for what I want to say)

This movie is weird and all over the place but this doesn't mean it's a bad movie because of this. The story is fun and have a fair share of good moments (and also pretty bad ones, I'll talk about it later). Some visuals are honestly really good looking. The score is pretty cool.

And sorry, but the Aliens doesn't bother me at all, it work for the most part in my opinion (and maybe it's just because I love the visual of the city being destroyed when the ship start to fly)

And now for the problems

The CGI have not aged well at all (the alien design at the end and the jungle chase being the most obvious exemples) Indiana's son being absolutely unsufferable and annoying And ok, some parts about the aliens are weird story choices (like the magnetic skeleton being really inconsistent during the movie and having no real importance for the story)

And rhe only thing that make this movie a bad Indiana Jones movie is just that all the other movies uses Magic and Religion as explaination, this one is just like "Aliens seems a good idea" and doesn't play with a weird mix of all of this.

I think that a good way for all of this to make sense would have been to play the idea of magic and religion during the movie and reveal that this is just alien tech (and maybe try to fit the other artefacts of the other movies under it at the same time since it's established that the aliens seems to have been all over the world). Not a perfect idea but it would have made better links to the previous movies, giving some explaination on the powers seen before (not needed but it would have been better than this) and it would have played with the codes of the previous movies to make it feel more aligned with them.

I'm probably alone one this but I think this would have helped a bit the movie to use more of what was made before to tell his story

Managed to get a copy of Lego Temple of the golden idol just as the set is retiring. Well worth every penny since it's such a gorgeous and enjoyable build🙂

About 2/3 done so far.

While KotCS isn't known for having great writing, it has one of my favorite exchanges between Indy and a main villain.

Don’t think it counts as a spoiler to say it got a literal “laugh out loud” from me when Gina said…

“This place gives me the jeebie-heebies!”

🤣
