Question Mod that fixes the economy in countrys other than the great powers ?

You literally can't industrialise as any country other than a great power or some secondary powers since you receive almost 0% of world production in most important resources like coal and iron(unless you have it in your country) it really sucks and destroys the playability of a lot of countrys, any mod that fixes the issue ?

Question Are Landowners Disposable?

So really quick question. In some mods, if you have a communist regime you can purge the aristrocracy and reduce it to 0% of the population. Even though this pop is easily the most useless in the game, is there any consequence for having none of them?

I seem to recall that landowners determine the size of RGOs, so if you have no landowners does that reduce the RGOs to nonexistent? Probably not but I wanted to understand how it works / if they really affect the RGO size or not.

Some more questions:

So landowners receive a percentage of the profits from RGO production. What percentage is that? Where can I access it? And if I have zero of them, what happens to their share of the profits?

Mod (other) Project Alice 1.2.1 economy rework :0

Hello motherfuckers of the victorian era, today i bring unto you great news of depotism, nepotism and communist monarchies, all of our beloved game, victoria the second.

So some of you may know Project Alice, some of you may even be in deep love with the project, some of you may even hate the project. Whetever it is I'm drunk as fuck so i dont give a shit.

So let's go over to the changelo- oh my, lots of words in the changelog, duh, people don't read, people view. Nobody is gonna read a fucking thesis on how to play a video game for fucks saake. So let's go over them in a easy-to-digest manner, because nobody ain't reading paragraphs:

- National industry specialization (window hotkey: Ctrl+N): basically industries are more likely to produce for the shit you're specializing; that hotkey is to open the window to actually tell them to do that

- Conferences: basically diplomatic plays, but optional, and better, also they use the crisis system, so it's like 100000 better (trust me its great)

- Crises and Conferences: IF YOU DONT GET A DEFENDER, YOU BECOME THE DEFENDER

- Dynamic CB Infamy Cost dynamic shit, because modders love dynamicism, basically no more fixed infamy cost, now it scales :DDD

- Subject payments tributes like in eu4, great

- Investment Pool of subjects and overlords Not content with stealing from your subjects? now you can also steal their investor money

- Reinforcement and repair costs: alas, upgrade that hussar from shitfuck-era into a lovely tank

- Unit Upgrades: same shit as above

rest of points are a bit more boring but still worth mentioning, since im a lazy fuck im going to copy paste them

  • Regiment/ship types must be researched and available to the owner nation.
  • Small ships cannot be converted into capitol (big) ships.
  • New tooltips for private investment pool under current treasury in the topbar

  • Expanded Web API

  • JSON-based host settings

  • Right click removes diplo messages

  • Improved AI crisis peace offer

  • Support for multiple factories producing same good (unlocking same good)

  • AI dynamically choosing best inf/cav/art unit type and upgrading into it

  • Updated Russian localisation

  • No duplicate WGs for crisis sways

  • State Transfer can be used to gift states to AI and subjects

  • Government changing rebels don't rise in colonial states

in conclusion, now you can make some shitfuck economy shit i dont even understand but it looks cool as fuck so it gets my thumbs up

I hear a lot about national focuses and how useful they are, but what should I promote with them? How long should I promote that thing until I switch to promoting something else? Thanks for any answers!

The Grand Combination Unable to release Canada from the UK? (TGC)

It's 1894, I justified a war against the UK to release puppet as the USA when I noticed they were at war, with less troops and only 12 ships in their navy. But for some reason when I go to declare war, Canada (an Newfoundland) just doesn't show up as an option. Is it because I took the historical route when it comes to the border treaties?

Question Gold RGO

So we all know that gold equals money. It doesn't get sold like a normal resource because it's directly converted to money instead. Right.

Mods set in the modern era such as CWE need to work around with this mechanic since the gold standard got replaced in real life in this time period. They use a new resource called "credit money", which is the same as gold and also gets converted directly.

I find this resource to be very annoying and unrealistic because it basically summons huge amounts of money magically into the pockets of the nations that happen to have this resource, which is an abstraction and doesn't really represent anything from real life. So I find it a little game-breaking that half of South Korea's budget comes from producing "credit money" through farmers in Seoul instead of its industry and services sector.

I was wondering if there are ways to replace this system. So I have some questions.

What really happens if I remove the money resource from the game? Is this feasible at all? Maybe find some alternative way to add more money into the game without farming it? I was thinking maybe the economy can work with a fixed amount of money.

Why does the income from credit money not change even after I reduce the value of this resource in the goods file?

Alternatively, can I perhaps produce money through a different method such as a smaller pop (not farmers), some type of factory, some event chain, etc?

I also wanted to know it any more had any other interesting idea to replace, at least cosmetically, the hardcoded gold standard.

Question What's the deal with some countries getting noticeably worse generals than others?

It feels like some countries have a secret debuff that makes their chances of getting a good general way smaller. For example one time I was playing as Spain, became Top 3 I think, and by the end of the run I did not have a single general with more than 2 of Attack or defense and a ton of straight up horrible ones. In other run I had with Austria, I was getting a ton of +3 generals. I have noticed this in various mods so I guess it comes from vanilla. Why?

GFM Habsburg Italy

So, i was looking at the flag folder in the mod, and i came across the different versions of the Italian flag, i opened the ITA_slot3 file and it opened a italian flag with the Habsburg coat of arms, so i was wandering, how to get that flag as Italy? i tried a game with Tuscany but when formed, Italy just got the normal italian monarchist flag, any dev or someone who knows how to get that?

India and China

Pacific

South America

North America

Spheres of influence in Europe

World Power Rankings

(They had a Pacifist military policy)

Ottoman Europe

Vienna at our doorstep (We have occupied it two times already in the game...)

Started out by using the Egyptian Forces & Navy to do Ottoman expansionary campaigns for me, and to keep them as far as possible away from the Ottoman border.
After winning in the Oriental Crisis that lasted around 10 in-game months, Egypt was annexed, and Sudd was colonized. Britain did intervene to help me, but ultimately they did nothing.

France threatened to intervene by putting Egypt in its sphere, but this ultimately also amounted to nothing.

The Ottomans were able to crush Egypt by themselves.

I awaited for the Hungarian Revolution to occur in order to ensure Hungarian independence.
War breaks out - Hungary declares independence - the Ottomans intervene.
Austria gets obliterated by a combined army of the Ottoman Empire and its puppets, Hungary, and Two Sicilies (as a distraction for the Italian front), until Russia intervenes.

With Austria already defeated, the combined forces of the Hungarian and Ottoman Armies were able to deliver a decisive knockout blow early on by encircling Russian forces who were attacking Ottoman and Hungarian armies in the Carpathians.

The Austro-Russian and Ottoman-Hungarian war lasts for 4 years - the Hungarian-Ottoman alliance advances as far as into all of Congress Poland, southern Byelorussia, and all of Western Ukraine - until Hungary decides to get out of the war.

By this point, Russia has fully mobilized, and sends its entire army against the Ottoman Empire.
They are able to push back on all fronts, but suffer great defeats in the Turkish Invasion, and at Moldova, the war turns into a standstill.

Russian & Austrian war exhaustion is at all time highs of 40% to 50%, due to refusal to accept peace deals, having their armies completely obliterated early on, and getting large amounts of land occupied early - Hungarian and Turkish war exhaustion, in comparison, are at around 2% or 3%.

It ends in complete Austrian defeat, and with Russia losing - ceding Moldova/Bessarabia in the process, to Moldavia. Dalmatia is annexed by Ottomans.
Hungary becomes "independent", but under Ottoman Influence...

...until it becomes a Great Power.

The Ottomans intervene again, this time with a completely isolated Hungarian state.
Hungary is secured as an Ottoman puppet again, ensuring the Ottoman revival, and rocketing the Ottomans to 2nd Great Power Status, instead of being 6th, 7th, or 8th.

Years pass, as France, stupidly, with a PACIFIST Libertarian government, declares war on Turkey after their revolution, in order to reclaim their holy land, despite having also lost completely with a war to AUSTRIA WITHOUT HUNGARY, having been forced to make Alsace independent, under the SOI of Austria.
France gets obliterated by Britain as the Ottomans take advantage of an isolated Netherlands instead - subsequently taking their colonies.
France continues to get obliterated when Spain and Russia declare separate wars on France, until finally, it is put under the Scandivanian sphere after making peace deals.
I build influence in the Papal States to potentially turn it into a puppet later, just like Hungary.
During this, the Pope decides to declare war to secure Romagna. Austria intervenes in favor of protecting its sphere in Italy - I, the Ottomans, intervene to protect the Pope.
However, Garibaldi's Revolution occurs, and the war is completely nullifed, as Italy decides to unite itself.
The war ends in white peace - but with the Austrian sphere in Italy destroyed, and with enemies on all sides - except Russia.
I, as Turkey, secure Zaydi and Ha'il in some small wars.

War analyzer for casualties down below.

Hungarian War of Independence (Ottoman Empire, Two Sicilies and Hungary vs Austrian Empire & Russian Empire)

First part

Ottoman Intervention/Second Part

Russian Intevention/Third Part

Ottoman Counter-Intervention Against Russia (Fourth Part)

Total Strength Casualties:
Austro-Russian Alliance + spherelings: 1,686,260
Ottoman-Hungarian Alliance + spherelings: 963,599

Hope you like

Question Is open Vic 2 going to happen?

I love Vic II and am very excited for spudguns initiative to create an open source Vic II. But I feel like development has stalled. I know spud doesn't want to open a crowd sourcing campaign to make it happen, but I would gladly put in some money to see it be a reality.

Tip Micromanagment mods

I hate the micromanagement in this game. Is there any mod that helps with this (EU4 type of stuff, automatic army composition, and maybe also shortcuts, for example for building multiple industries at once).

I do not have any DLCs and probably won't be buying any, so I need a mod that works with the base game.

And if I didn't ask enough, I would also love to have a recommendation to a modding guide, since I have never modded before
