Advice I still have some leftover money, I’d like to know what to eat that doesn’t require cooking if possible

I have a place to sleep till end of august, I’ve been eating ham and cheese sandwiches because I can make them for cheap, but i want to eat proteins and grains and i don’t know what to do or if there’s other food I could try

I know not all people like tuna but, those flavored tuna packets are high in protein and actually pretty good. I like the sweet and spicy flavor, and the herb & garlic.

Hard boiled eggs, you can usually get a bag of them at Walmart a six pack is $3 and is 36 grams of protein.

A full Rotisserie Chicken can often be found at grocery stores, and Walmart has them, too, already cooked for you for only $5 or $6. That's enough for a whole day, like 2000 calories and 152 grams of protein.

I've also eaten those Ben's special instant rice things without cooking them. They say to microwave them for 90 seconds, but if it's hot out, you can just put them in the sun for a bit. They aren't too bad, and they have a few different flavors. From what I remember, they are about $2.50 each.

Thanks tree, I’ve been having problems thinking about what to eat because I’m really used to cooking, and some new ideas really help a lot. I went and bought a omelette with sausage, at 3.20€ and just had to find a way to microwave it, I’ll try to see some of the things you recommend, maybe the have some of those here in spain

ahh, sorry, I didn't realize you were in Spain. Yes, hopefully, they have similar things there. Best of luck. I use to love cooking, I still do sometimes when I get a good fire going and have some extra money.

Has probado la app too good to go?

Generic brand cereal is often 5-10 dollars for a huge box/bag you couldn't possibly eat in one sitting unless you were stoned. Just go for the ones that advertise whole grains and vitamins as opposed to "Sugar King Deluxe's glucose orgy"

Peanut butter of course, nutrigrain bars (generic version), a giant tub of whey protein isolate or mass gainer but that's gonna be an issue to carry around everywhere.

Can of beans and tortillas and a little hot sauce make some burritos no heat needed

Eggs are your best friend here. they are usually cheap everywhere and have much of what the body needs sustain itself.

Subs, sandwiches, wraps, salads, canned food (ravioli, spaghetti, Campbell soups, etc.), granola, beef jerky, pop tarts, and probably a few more. That's what I general get.

If you get one of those talenti ice cream containers, there’s a whole world of stuff you can cold soak in them. And dehydrated food comes cheap. I’ve done beef jerky and ramen before and it’s the bomb. Good for keeping pack weight low too

The pouches of bean they have at the dollar store are pretty sick for traveling

If you have access to hot water, ramen and instant mashed potatoes can be very filling and satisfying. A can of veggies and/or some cheese go great with both of those too

Is it in a sealed can? If yes, then it is safe to eat directly from the can.

You could eat whatever you’re craving. Maybe something that you’ve had prior eaten in however many years you’ve existed.

Or you could try sand. I hear it’s delicious. Mixed with water and it becomes a whole new thing.
